I thought of that but the vet said he should be kept away from the jills for six weeks does that sound correct to you?

Thanks

yes when there first done they can still make any females they mate pregnant, to be honest its best to get one done around now & leave it untill next year to be on the safe side , sometimes they dont always work though thats becoming a common draw back

He will still have the hormones in his system which will still give him the urge and if he has been castrated he can still hold sperm in him hence he can still make a jill pregnant. My vet advised four weeks apart from the jill to give him time to heal, the hormone level to go down and any sperm in the tubes to no longer be viable.
