Sporting Whippet Club N.I. Show / Race Day Last Sunday 2nd June 13 Had a brilliant day out last Sunday at the Sporting Whippet Club NI, 2nd Show of the year, held at Dunsilly, Co Antrim. There was not a cloud in the sky, as we set up the rings and prepared for the influx of Whippet men and women and their beautiful Whippets. This was to be the start of a great days showing and Racing. There were some lovely cups and trophys to be won, and were well displayed for all to see. It has saddened me greatly to see the angry disputes start up again over terrier, whippet and lurcher racing and showing again in Ireland. If its not the workers v the 'show ponies' , it is allegations of unregistered greyhounds racing as lurchers. Farney Harriers 2nd Annual Dog Show and Race Day Sunday 9th June 13 ( Please Note Change of Date) Farney Harriers 2nd Annual Dog Show, Race Day, and Family day out, will take place this year : On Sunday 9th June in Dundalk Co. Straight of the press, Anothe great day of Showing, Racing, and qualifers will held at the " Field of Dreams " Greyhound Schooling Track , Gulladuff, Maghera, Sunday 23rd June 13. What a top class venue and a Top of the Pops race track. Has to be seen to believed. Well recognised by Ireland's Country Sports Community as a great event for Irish Country Sports, the National Countrysports Fair at Moira is widely acclaimed for the quality of its stands, their displays and demonstrations, and indeed lived up very much to their name again this year.
