Pluck and Smurf Charity Dog Show and Race Day at Burndennet Cricket Club, Strabane, Co Tyrone Sunday 21st August 16. As we approached the bridge at Strabane, and took the turn for Burndennet Cricket Club, I think Pluck and Smurf were busy up above getting the weather adjusted to suit their very special Memorial Show and Race day. All the way down the motorway it was raining heavy, but once we reached the cricket club the rain had stopped and did not start again to the end of the show. Donnells Working Dog Show and Race Day Sunday 14th August 16. Larne is a seaport and industrial market town, on the east coast of County Antrim. Tully Castle Dog Show. We looked forward to Tully Castle Dog Show all year, and finally the day arrived last Saturday the 13th August. We set out fine and early with trailer and dogs in tow, and arrived at the Castle at approx. 11.00am. As usual, we were first there with the exception of the organisers and stand holders for the day. I never grow tired of the scenic views and history that surrounds this little piece of heaven, tucked away in the County Fermanagh Country side. Tullylish Working Terrier Club Dog Show and Race Day Saturday 6th August 16 Our rickity alarm clock went off bright and early on Saturday morning, loyally carrying out its duty to get us out of bed, feet on the floor, and on our way to the Tullylish Working Terrier Club Dog Show and Race Day. After answering the call of the dog chorus, very soon we were on our short journey to Tullylish, and another day out at the summer time Country Sport I truly love . We had a great family day out at this show.weather came really good,after a big down pour earlier on.It was very obivous from early on a lot of effort and planning went into this with the team of helpers on hand.the standard of dogs on the day was very high,giving all the judges a headache. great to see a bull terrier winning best of day tidy dog and in great condition, there was a great bit of banter around the strong dog ring the way it was in days of old great to see strong dogs getting popular again. looking forward to next year already well done to all the winners on day. last note its

We have had several complaints about Pups being sold in the terrier & lurcher area at the Birr Game Fair. These have come from members of the public, the Garda and the ISPCA. It has been agreed with Garda and ISPCA ( with both organisations having a presence in the area) that we would make it clear that the GREAT GAME FAIRS of IRELAND will implement a policy of not allowing ANY pups to be sold at Birr this year.
