  1. Thanks for the replies lads. I only had an ilustration of oregon grape. The leaves etc certainly match.
  2. Hello, I was out with work yesterday just in the North of Glasgow and found these berries beside some raspberries. I am struggling to ID them, and wondered if anyone knows what they are. They are slightly smaller than a pea. Hope you can help
  3. would love to see this when its finished. Really balanced look to it.
  4. As above, looking for a good condition HW97K with scope etc. Im in Glasgow so either posted or within 100 miles for F2F. Pics appreciated. PM me if you have anything similar
  5. Hi Looking to get started and wondering if anyone near Glasgow or South Lanarkshire is selling any of their rifles. As I say, just starting out so would need a wee try of the gun to make sure it suits me etc. PM me if you have any you are selling.
  6. does anyone have pics of previous years??
  7. They are too bold up my way, golfers and old dears feeding them constantly. There was a wee tame one that used to hang around the 17th and 18th at the Golfy and would get pieces from the golfers. Then some wee a'holes put a club through its heid. I dont go for foxes but would rather it had been taken by a dog than a wee jakey with a 6 iron. Saw one in my maws kitchen as well, sneaky wee bam.
  8. you jstu enter your dogs on the day mate. Thanks Mate, Looking forward to it Brian
  9. how would I go about registering for the pairs (if there is any?!) Cheers Brian
  10. Does this 3litre engine suffer from the same conrod problems as the 2.5tdi? Aint heard of a 3litre Hardbody before, aybe an import? Tailgate says its a 3.0 16v TD.
  11. Is it the Isuzu you had Kye? Pretty impressive
  12. Cheers Lads The owner of the Rodeo said he had it for a year, and that he has serviced it himself since 55k so will need to dig into that a bit more and find out if it has actually done 41k in a year. It is an auto.
  13. Have been looking for a new truck for a while, and saw a Rodeo 3.0l auto Denver for £4.4k. Its a 53 reg Two owners with no towing, and has a years mot on it. Isuzu servicing up until 55k and then he current owner hasserviced it himself since buying it year ago. Only thing is it has done 96k miles and I'm a little put off buy this. Would high(ish) miles put anyone else off, or does it all really depend on giving it a deent check over with a mechanic? Have seen a Navara 51 reg for 4 and has only done 55k miles. 2 owners as well. What would you go for?
  14. Isuzu Rodeo, should be able to find one for £5k'ish
  15. Monster of a dog, walks along with the rest of them. But when he gets locked on, nothing stops him and he doesnt miss. I like dogs with the guts that keep going back again and again, good stamina and all that. Bandits rate speaks for itself though, doesnt need countless slips or hours walking about hoping. Sees it. gets it. You keep him in good shape benny, its obviously a combination of his makeup (secret recipe) and your methods. Not many dogs would still be going after what he's been through. But youre both reaping the rewards now, credit to you.
  16. I dont go for foxes but obviously understand the need for it. Just my opinion but taking them out will surely be killing your own sport. I dont think it would be THAT true a test to wake em up and toss the dogs and them together. Just like I dont agree with doubling up with decent sized (educated) hounds on them, not fair sport IMO
  17. by definition they are racist. Selective breeding, elitism etc etc But Im missing something here, how does the name Sooty imply racist intent, I dont see a connection? Stories like this only through more fuel on the fire when it comes to recruiting fundamentalist yobs to head out to the training camps and then return in a couple of years with a sneaky backpack and video message back at the flat.
  18. remember my da bringing our deerxgreyxcollie in with his guts all over the place. From what I remember he had cleared a barbed wired fence, but it was doubled up with another new fence a foot behind it. Dog opened up as if he had a zipper on his underbelly. My old man had carried him down for 2 mile or so. Back before mobile phones. Same dog lost a bit of his knob on the barbed wire a couple of years later. The dog I have now lost a toe after popping his collar and running around the back of the shops, broken bottles etc. Months later we found that he had a shard of glass hidden above
  19. dont think it matters which vet mate, ask them for sure though
  20. Have to agree mate, I use argos too and they have been fine so far. Made 5 claims in total for my two "cross breeds". They increased the excess this year so we now pay the first £60 quid. Defo worth having some insurance, as inevitably the dogs will get some sort of injury along the way, especially as pups
  21. mine are 1st cross. Had a fair few injuries early on with them but hopefully settling now. 20 months. Havent had a great deal of work, but mad keen on foxes. They tend to grow a bit slower than other crosses from what I understand so dont let the pup go mental with excercise just yet. Mine are still filling out just now, but havent put any height on since 16/18 months. Good with other dogs, good pace for their size, mine dont turn fantastic compared to smaller dogs but thats to be expected. They are around 31" tts
