Being broad shouldered makes him more noisy as he pushes through tight spots, the Mrs sits and picks the thorn spikes out of him in the evening. Thanks for your comment on him, as he's not everyone's cup of tea. Mate I think that's a cracking looking dog,if you were to put him to a female who looked like him or close I'd 100% have a pup off you!

Looks like you had a good day mate,I was out this morning with my 2 year old son,only managed one but his little eyes lit up so hopefully more trips with him. Great pics aswell! Atb

Cheers guys,yeah I'm going to introduce him to the ferrets as soon as he's settled in abit and also as soon as he has his shots,I take him Tuesday night for his first set of injections.

Morning all. Made a good start off at 4.30am to make the 200 mile round trip to fetch my pup,he's a cracker. I'll be keeping this post updated on how I get on with him ferreting with me,I'll post pics as soon as I can get on the pc. Made up with him.

Evening again guys,sorry to be a pain. I have quite abit of land around where I am that has good numbers of our furry "friends" but I'm having a real mission finding out who owns the land,I mean there are houses everywhere but they are residential areas that surround the land, how do I find out who owns it? Thanks guys,I really appreciate the help and I've taken everything everyone has said into consideration and I've decided to get the pat,I pick him up soon. Will post pics throughout so others can see how I/ he gets on.

Not so much a worry really just would prefer if he didn't if that makes sense,but like you say,if I have him out from a young age hopefully he'll learn what's expected of him. I get what you are saying and will definitely take it on board. Thanks

Posted this in the ferreting section,so if this isn't allowed please remove and sorry. Evening all,I'm looking at getting a pup for ferreting (for marking and pinning while netted),I've been offered a pat pip from a friend of mine and just wanted some opinions on weather or not I should take him. I've worked dogs before but only in South Africa for bush pig so I'm abit clueless when it comes to breeds etc. I've been told that a pat will go to ground and that's not something I'm really looking for,his job would be marking buries and holding rabbits I can't get to quick enough. Is this too muc

Evening all,hope you are all well. I know this may be a stupid question to some of you,but how do you train your terrier to mark for rabbit? I'd it something that is taught or is it a natural thing? I'm really looking at getting a dog in the future,breed is still yet to be decided but I'm leaning towards a patterdale at the moment. Cheers for any help that can be offered. Atb Jono
