  1. £5 tub from screwfix, bit of sponge, it also depends how good you are on a catty, I came home the other day and my son was having a pop but as a modern lad more used to a games console than a catty he has hit shit out my shed and thought he was doing well just hitting the catch box, so he could do with a bigger one if I,m honest, the row of bb dents along the top edge of the shed brought his fun to an end as my neighbour has a glass conservatory right behind my shed lol Oh dear
  2. just looking for new ideas on a new catch box ... any ideas ???
  3. Measure your draw length , divide it by 5 or some say 5.5 this gives you the perfect active band length , which is the relaxed length of elastic from your pouch tips to the tips on the frame . i use 25 to 20 tapers on the PPMG and 20 to 15 tapers on the uniphoxx's
  4. Awesome frames for the money ... i got 2 , one set up with single GZK 1mm 20 to 15 taper and set up with TBG double 20 to 15 taper .
  5. Ok video's are here https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B0EBiU9liZ23MnFORVJSTGthWmc&usp=sharing that looks the nuts ... how much tho ??
  6. its a wonder they could walk lol .they both have more to hump with than they have to walk with ... the second one was pulling one id shot 15 mins earlier back down a hole .... nasty bloody things they are
  7. I was working up that way and was told he was the nuts with springer tuning .... so I took it to him and asked for the best he could do .... he charged me £110 quid for a stainless spring guide and top hat (polished) new spring and trigger work and polishing .... when I got it back the first 20 or so shots were mint then it down hill rapidly ... a mate at Iden ferns had a quick look ... it was full to the brim with shite grease the spring had just been cut down and not very well not flattened at the end or polished to leave a smooth surface ... the trigger was so light it was a danger to shoot
  8. never seen rats with such big sphericals lol ....
  9. TR Robb made an absolute mess of my 97 mate ... wouldn't trust him with a tube of smarties

  14. Hi all im after a new stock for my 97 but the wooden version (walnut) cash and ill even collect if not to far .
  15. well after getting messed around a tad a few months ago and taking a bit of advice off a few more qualified than I , I decided to keep the 97 and have given it a right leathering over the past month ... trying to force myself to use it properly and learn for that matter . They truly are a thing of beauty and mine is devastatingly accurate out to 38-40 yds. .... its only me that needs to learn to shoot beyond that .... but it will come (said the bishop to a hooker)..... Really want the wooden (walnut) stock for mine though..... now realise they look so much better than the synthetic ve
  16. oh believe me I've already come across that ... met a lad last year through work who wanted to share permissions .. I asked to see his insurance all looked ok so I took him at his word ... spent a few nights on one of mine had about a dozen rabbits each night ... went to quote un quote HIS lol permission which he said belonged to his uncle and was part of his uncles land .... happy days I thought loads of land ... it turned out after we were accosted by an angry farmer it wasn't his uncles land at all , I made my peace with the farmer and rapidly put my gear away and went straight up to the ho
  17. we all know how hard it is at times mate ... love being in the peace and quiet on a long evening shoot but sometimes nice to have a shooting buddy , and the Mrs and my lad get bored at times bless em ..... who wouldn't want to be out in the dead of night on the edge of a spooky wood in the freezing cold lol shooting rats , I don't get some people lol
  18. if anyone one is interested in a bit of Rat Rabbit and Pigeon control not far from Bexhill , ive got 2 permissions about a mile apart , poss shoot each others permissions ?
  19. Hunting at night is a totally diff experience ... and certainly not worth "guestimating" ..... love being out in the cold dark nights ...so peaceful and rewarding .
  20. he wont have dogs up there mate , I suggested it to him as soon as I saw it but he's a bit of an old eccentric bloke and very stuck in his ways ... he said the dogs would scare the chickens which to be fair all run loose within the small pens ... shame as a good mate has 2 patterdales which ive seen working and are unreal to watch ... never seen dogs move as quick
  21. had some stupid offers on it that were laughable , so going to keep hold of it , for now anyway
  22. just picked up a new permission on a small holding that has a bad rat problem , they have buried under the guys 3 chicken pens and a little duck pond . because of the layout of the place there are only 2 places to shoot from and the furthest away is about 12 yds down to the closest about 5 yds .... went up in daytime and night with NV and lamps but was having so many pass throughs with pellets I gave up after an hour (hit about 15 picking up about 5 ) not good ..... tried baiting them further away from there holes today to no avail ... as there is so much food about for them they wont stra
