If its a wall nut stock all ways use the wool then oil as this will keep the grain good on the stock if you keep wiping her down with a damp cloth she will get dry spots on her and wont look as good but it is ok if its a beech stock as the oil that is on them sets hard like lacquer hope this helps atvbmac That helps alot.   3. Looks spot on. Sorry for jumping on your thread but can i ask, rather than rubbing it down with the fine grade wool what would you clean it with? Just a damp cloth and then dry it?

  5. Yeah you'll be okay dry firing it, but its not really advised. It is recommended to store it with air in though
