I've never seen or heard anything that I wasn't relatively sure I could explain away. The house we live in was built just after Waterloo and I would imagine that dozens of people will have died here since that time. I neither believe nor don't but I'm glad I've never seen anything.
That said my eldest announced that he had seen a bloke on the landing the other night, that then disappeared down the stairs. All dressed in black, after checking the house, which I knew would be clear as they would of had to walk past both dogs. I asked him to describe what he saw. Half expecting a description of someone in old fashioned clothes etc I breathed a sigh of relief when the ghost turned out to be wearing track suit bottoms, Nike trainers and a baseball cap!
Edited to add: great thread/posts/stories. Keep them coming, enjoyed reading

To add...
Constant use of the word 'journey' on TV winds me up.
And everyone in the reality shows using 'I love you' in every other sentence..

Another vote for lush
Also people using the word sick when something is good

Mr Weasel, I think you give Janner more credit than he deserves, he stands accused (with VERY strong evidence from what I read) of f***ing kids ... Someone who can do this surely wouldn't give a second thought to swerving risking giving compensation to his victims?
He did it, and he's now doing his best to stash his wealth where it can't be touched, as above Stuart Hall did the same thing, despicable b*****ds.
I read the other day that even though it seems there were hundreds at it, the truth is that these enquiries haven't even scratched the surface of the full extent of the abuse that went on.
Certainly not putting the swerving of compensation past him or any of his ilk. Just offering an alternative explanation of why someone older may transfer wealth. As I said before I've not followed the case other than the odd news snapshot so don't have an opinion on guilt or otherwise

Surely that must be classed as Tax Avoidance signing his wealth over ? Joe public would not get away with it like. Us and them again !
The exact same rules apply to both public and posh people. It's just the tax law, the 7 years is just in place to stop people at deaths door quickly signing it over. Plenty of normal people do similar

Don't agree mate , my thoughts are if he has nothing , the chance of anyone suing him for compensation is a non starter .Don't know anything about the case really but I would have thought the reason he signed all his wealth over to his family is more likely to be due to inheritance tax. if he lives for over 7 years after signing it over the family will not pay inheritance tax on it. It's not likely to be because of fear of payouts
Like I said, I don't know anything about the case. It's just that the transfer of wealth 7 years prior to death is a fairly common way to avoid inheritance tax

I completely agree in principle. But of those two scenarios, which is more likely? LOLForget the cull being rolled out nationwide, just lift the protected status and let farmers sort their own pest control out
The badgers protection will never be lifted to put it on the same level as the fox.
Likely is a strong word, I don't think it's likely. Less costly though if the gov could get sufficient support to get it through

Well I'd say looking down the barrel of an anti aircraft with hundreds awaiting the ratattat is suffering but not bothered in the slightest, bet he's had plenty killed. They're a nation of mutters. Nk army 1 million so plenty left.
Fair point

Being told off for falling asleep at work, maybe, but being executed with anti-aircraft guns?

A bit of overkill I suppose but at least he won't have suffered

'7 out of 8 of the dogs rescued by the RSPCA have been rehomed'
I'm calling bullshit on that one, to the big pet home in the sky maybe

Very very cool... But I have a sneaking suspicion that I would wreck that

When you say tested do you mean as a stud? I would say 18 months is a bit old to be be starting out as a stud, if you had of started him at 10months think of all the ££££s you could've already made!

Doesn't like going on concrete, has figured out the table is not so does it there.
One of my dogs will not shit on short grass, he will wait and when he sees long stuff he goes.
It will be something like this about the surface. One of mine prefers to shit in bushes or up steep banks with long grass, he sort of reverses his arse onto them. The other on short grass or gravel

Some great posts on here.
I love being a dad, could do with being a stay at home one as well but the chance would be a fine thing

The cart looks really nice and stable. I did one with my eldest for a recent race at his school. No plans and just what I had lying around the place. It was quick but unstable. Next year it will be box framing and bike wheels I think
