Dog Transporting Run From Ireland To Uk

A friend of mine took 4 couple of hounds in a van through holyhead and out dublin port and was waved on, they both got lucky, since they got that big haul of pups in rosslare few weeks ago the whole lot has tightened up, I will need to do a run back into Ireland, from what I've been told Ireland isn't as strict as uk, going into uk now is very hot. -

I'd have no problem taking an unmicro-chipped dog foxbolter but when I would be pulled in at either port and found out when they check all dogs on board, the dog would be confiscated and my license would be revoked, so for the sake of paying a vet 15 or 20 quid and I'm sure if the dog is being sent across the water it's going to be a good working dog or a well bred pup, why would a person want to take a chance like that.I don't think you would get to far in the ports if you didn't have tax on your van or car, same kind of thing really. It's the law now pal nothing to do with me, I just have t -

It all depends on certain lines, some can be slow to tune in and some very quick and sharp to tune in. The trouble with some of sharp ones is they can get very clever early on in their hunting career. Alot of the ones that were slow and backward can often turn out to be very good hounds after a season or two and end up hunting into their twilight years.
