  9. Everyone's right mate in there own way . Like Neil said you can easily do to much on them and burn your dog out . I've done this myself with other dogs and it's quite easy to do . And it's like you've said you've got to have stimulation and good bedding quarters . And like Aeron said foods a big thing I'm a big believer in this good foods a must . If you can put all this in place then your getting somewhere . If you can add a mill in or a bit of swimming it's all a brucey bonus . The thing is with a mill there a must for some dogs but as for terriers there not a must . But if you had one aroun
  10. A dog that's doing the extra work has got to be fitter it can't not be . If me and you was doing the same walk eating the same food and sleeping in the same conditions we would have the same fitness but if you then started sneaking in some sprints but I was sticking to the same regime then obviously you would be fitter than me . And you would find the runs walks whatever easier than me .
  11. Out of interest..... How long have you been making these mills ?I know lots of good dog men who had them off of RP and never had the problems you mentioned , above. And you'll find most good kennels here in the U.K + Ireland are using RPMillmaker mills. 5 years . If your happy with rp then that's fair enough mate .
  12. Not the greatest pic but this dog had been conditioned on the mill flirt pole and walks then had the summer off this was in June time I think . So would of been four months or so out the season .
  13. A dog that lacks heart lacks heart mate . Nothing can cure that . What I'm say is are a lot of these dogs coming off because they lack heart your because there f****d . So I like to make sure mine are fit so I know that's not one of the causes . And then it's got to be down to the dogs gameness . I know lads that don't even walk there dogs only go out when worked and get through the day . I also know lads that take them for a walk and bike and get through the day . But in my eyes you can't walk a dog fit . When your walking a dog or biking a dog it's all stamina where's the explosion fitness .
  14. You can't take pics of the benifits . The benifits are under ground and when in action .
  15. Spot on mate . Looks like he's settling in well .
  16. Don't forget a mill is only an extra . For people who want to put that extra time in . People are getting confused you can't just use a mill . But when people are saying they don't have any benefit . Then that's impossible if your using one right it's got to have benifits because your putting that extra work in plus all the work your already doing .
