  1. That was a quote attributed to her before the last indyref weren't it? Things have changed since then and the other major players in the EU have said they'll veto it, again. She didnt have the authority to speak on their behalf anyway, it was just her personal opinion. no mate, 2-3 weeks ago interview with bbc scotland. are you refering to spain? all in the wording mate, they wont veto
  2. you normaly give me a hard time for copying and pasting She said: "I think, had Scotland achieved independence, there would be no reason why it would not be accepted into the normal accession process." Minor was then asked if Scotland would be prioritised in the accession process to the EU if the country voted to quit the UK in the wake of Brexit. She added: "I think, obviously, there are some things that would facilitate that process, namely that Scotland would at a previous point have been aligned with the European acquis. "So it would have a familiarity with European proces
  3. it says join the queue, there is no queue.. its just a process, as a current member the foundations are already in place
  4. jacquline minor, as an excisting member scotland would be in a different position from the likes of serbia and other countries going through the memberhsip process. as a member already, scotland ticks the required boxes..
  5. You guys said that many times, i argued about common sense, that after a yes vote things would be different.. Going on whats being reported now, it looks like scotlands eu membership wont be a problem if we vote yes..
  6. Ive not listened to the conference mate Aye, from my experience.. good and bad everywhere, like i said, cant tar everyone with the same brush Would be boring if we all were clones, HH
  7. We wouldnt be goverend by the eu, we could make different choices What are you saying scot, if we vote yes we risk trade with the rest of the uk? once artice 50 has been signed off the uk has two years to agree a trade deal with the rest of the eu. If it doesnt, it will have to trade anyway under WTO, the experts reckon that would be a very bad outcome?? one way or another the uk will trade with the eu, it will just be better terms for the eu, an independent scotland would be in the eu ( awaits the oh no youll not replys ) and therefore will continue with the rest of the uk as a eu member
  8. Joe? Joe? I believe there are options to be in the single market and not part of the eu, EFTA/EEA??? Yes
  9. sure would be mate, had to sell up before for a few reasons. might get another in future. am not trying to trap them, f****rs keep trying to steal the apples. would sack and wack be ok in the eyes of the law?
  10. only thing i could think of aswell, i sold up before the law was passed up here. not an option for now. cheers
  11. to be fair mate, the referendum has just been mentioned, it goes to the vote in holyrood in a few days..am hopfull the yes side will have learnt from the last campain and the questions on currency etc will be more clear this time around.. no toll, hard border etc, thats 100% its been confirmed for ireland
  12. getting a few rabbits again this year with the live traps, have also been catching the odd squirrel and having to let it go.. the land owner now says hed prefer to get rid of them aswell... how do you humanly dispatch a trapped squirrel? cheers
  13. i dont hate the english, You must hate the Scottish if you want independence..... not at all mate, i paint my face blue, polish my claymore , clean my skirt and practice shouting freedom everyday, am a proud true scot
  14. alittle humour reply to you scotty i dont hate the english,
  15. atleast am cheering someone up expect spending cuts either way mate, scotland will suffer as part of a brexit britain, make no mistake about that. the difference is, with independence we can choose a different path, as mentioned before its said both would face tough choices but an independent scotland could recover quicker a spart as the single market. the greece scare storys dont work, our economy is different and remember part of the reason we are in this mess is because we have been part of the uk. minority yes, but with a record vote and the biggest % in the western world right no
  16. i made you an offer, it stands, point by point, we can do it in pm if your prefer to be just me and you
  17. mushroom ad nauseum, we have both repeated alot of stuff.. ive no doubt there probably a few points ill loose mate, but am very confident a few of the points you keep making can be proven wrong like before. (quote mrs doyle ) go on. go on, humour me, you could probably do it in your sleep mate
  18.   You really are in cuckoo land. Scottish economy is in free fall your average spend per person is unsustainable without England making up your shortfall You have no currency You don't own the oil fields You will not be able to join EU single market (Spain has publicly announced this yesterday, France and Belgium to follow) Your healthcare funding is supplemented from Westminster as is your benefit tab I'm still waiting to hear how the independence elections in Catalunya (which are not sanctioned by Madrid) are any different to Scotland holding an i

  20. I hope it wouldnt the eu membership isnt a problem now, thats been cleared up... if only people believed back i 2014 they havnt yet, wait untill hollyrood votes and take it from there. the pm was carefull with her use of words.. id be all for a snap general election, by uk law, if snp won with independence at top of manifesto, they could declare it and nothing wm could do
  21. Scotland voted no in 2014, we were promised so much, very little was delivered.. One of the key parts of the no campains argument was scotlands place in the eu, remember everyone going on about how we wouldnt get in, the only way we could guarantee eu membership was voting no The snp have a mandate for another referendum, it was made clear, another referendum could be called if there was good enough reason, the pm has had loads of chances to hit that nail on the head, untill now shes refused... but still has time, to compromise The old scare storys are starting to get repeated again..
  22. the snp have stuck to everything they said, they have tried to compromise, so a deal can be made, it was the pm who who forced the indy card it was the pm who ignored the scotlands vote and decided to remove us from the single market, rubished the efforts of the snp to find a way to stay in it, didnt give us a meaningfull role in the great repeal bill overhaul of law, threatend to block devolution of fisheries and agriculture from brussels to edinburgh its been made clear, there is still time for the pm to compromise
  23. The fm has played a blinder so far, check mate pm, at this rate the pm will do all the yes work... The Scottish government have tried to compromise several times re Brexit. Has only called for a indy ref as last resort, the pm still has time to do a deal... I really don't think the pm will block it, she wants to control the timing, not going to happen.. A referendum could be called, although not legally binding without wm approval , there would be options to gain indy.. call a snap election with independence at the top of manifesto, it would probably take more than 50% but would be
