on the plus side if they go bust again, giving most of money to london like before the boe will have to deal with it, doesnt sound bad, no jobs etc will be lost or operations moved, thats the main thing.

Lab, I'm giving MY views; Joe simple cuts and pastes a reply. Why won't he give HIS take on the reason Salmond didn't want the Scottish people knowing that RBS will relocate vast tracts of it's business south of the border if there's a "yes" vote ? Joe, you cherry pick the reports to suit your argument; I read and evaluate both sides of the debate. Which ever is right or wrong, the Scottish people deserve to hear ALL the facts. Once again, why is Salmond demanding an inquiry into the RBS news being released before the vote. Why does he not want the Scottish people to hear the bad, as well as the good news ??? do you really, just read your post about rbs,standard life, tesco, morrisons etc am off out you and a few others fav guy watch and listen, good points!!!

theres more to the argument than your making out... like the rbs etc etc oil levels have been debated since the 70s, when there was only 10 years left lol and will be debated for a long time( go read the mccrone report ) go have a search on hundreds of scottish businnesses supporting yes

ofcourse i do and i could quote experts saying different i.e most recent a former uk ambassador to the nuclear based defence alliance countrys around scotland might not agree, with cuts, the raf has no martitime patrol aircraft and the navy have no conventional oceon going vessels based in scotland. good to know the oil and waters at well watched, remember when all those russian ships entered scottish waters, 24 hours it took to scramble ships.. not the first time either

I don't believe you will get invaded either. You currently have no conflict with another state and no foreseeable reason for one. There's no current reason for you to need a powerful military capable of expeditionary/nuclear/offensive etc action. However, that sort of military is an insurance policy, you never foresee such threats. 3/28 may be nuclear armed but all 28 support that. Why will Scotland get in without showing similar support for the core reason for nato. Furthermore why will Scotland get in after intentionally hampering nato capability. i believe when the times come

BH, if we are refused from nato( i dont agree ) then we probaly wont get invaded just like ireland and others.. There are also 28 countries in nato, only 3 with nukes. The name i was thinking about was the partnership for peace

Why would they get invaded? They're no threat? If they made a military alliance with Russia however that would be taken very seriously. Which is what you were implying. nope, like i said wrong name.. geez a few mins, google time!

You won't be in nato because Scotland won't allow forward deployed nukes on their soil. That's against nato terms. The yanks have more influence than anybody and they greatly value the royal navy's ability both conventional and nuclear.
