Had a trigger kit fitted on my rifle today, looking forward to trying it out tonight, before it was fitted it was 4 1/2lbs pull and now it's a tad over 2lbs, can't believe how light it feels. What does everyone else have on theirs?

I think if you are going to go for 2 out of the ones you have mentioned I would go for the 22 and the 243, personally I think that's a good mix and gives you lots of veriaty but if your only going for one, then definitely the 17 hmr

The OP, how effective is a hmr on fox, 100yrds=effective 1000yrds=not very effective. Simples.

i took out 2 charlies last night with my 17hmr both around the 100m mark, nice clean kills too.

Cheers Celtic. I have no idea, the only thing I can think of is maybe I rushed it a little when zeroing a couple weeks ago. I'm pretty sure it hasn't had any big knocks. What setup you got?

After a disappointing night on the rabbits last week I went out this evening to check my zero and found out why I wasn't hitting much over 60m I was shooting roughly 2 inches right at 50m so after adjusting my scope I moved back to 80m and made a few minor adjustments, and took 5 shoots apologies for my choice of target I had nothing else on me. Anyway, being happy with my set up I packed the rifle away and went indoors to say hello to the in laws, after about 10mins I looked outside and in the far side of the field were 2 youngish Charlie's. On went the boots out came the gun jumpe

Hawke reflex 3-9x40 on my HMR, zeroed it in yesterday and when putting it away gave it a knock, and thought great, but like I said maybe I'm worrying too much lol. What distance can you comfortable to shoot at with the redfiled scope? Maybe it's because I'm new to this but I kinda feel like I need a bit more magnification for 100m

there shit mate ibought one worst fox call ive ever heard in my life mate i tried with atlest 10 foxes couldnt even get them interested for a minit used the wam one straight in I have a wam too but haven't really used it, think ill ditch the plastic one and practise with the wam

Doesn't really matter if it's meant to call in an elephant if Charlie likes the sound of it, and it gets him close enough for a shot its all good

I've got a cz 455, I say new, it was bought second hand but had less then a box through it, I've put around 150 through it but haven't cleaned it yet mainly due to the fact there are so many opinions on what "tools" to use, what oil etc to use. It's got me slightly confused, and still haven't made my mind up on what way to do it
