can nature balance it self out. with/without the help of man or is it to late. in my area and i suppose with the rest of the uk there has been a massive increase in the amount of [in my eyes] pest species ie fox .crows .magpie. grey squirrel.[ oppertunists all] all being helped invertinly by the hand of man. its getting to the point now and with other people, were feeding the birds, is just helping [imo] the sparrowhawk population. when they are taking three sparrow sized birds daily [out of breeding season] what do you think?

Hey...HW80 , one of my favourite rifles of all time, can be lethal if you don't know who's owned it , five years behind bars comes to mind , but waht a hunting rifle. spotted some otter tracks on a tidle river near me, last couple of weeks been sat about looking /listening no luck as yet. heard they travel a bit, any idea;s cheers byron

have a look at this site. birdsurvival uk. a bird group with brains. these people no the truth with whats happening with our birdlife and the pest problem in this country all disilusioned ex rspb members. they get my vote

how fast simoman? i have a light boned straight backed alsation [hate that word gsd] and believe this or not have had twenty nine mph out of her running at the side of van. like you say stuck with a gsd instead of a lurcher same here. but she will run owt .catching is another matter. great guarding dog though. clears five bar gates with ease and would give any fowlers dogs a run for there money at the swimming game. my mate has a half cross thats doing the job .
