    rabbits see in shades of black and white so perhaps the dark dog on a dark night might be less visable but so would the fawn dog on a lighter night and a brindle would be invisable due to distortion on both nights

    and what happens when a small blast of wind takes the round off target and it makes a hole through the jaw breaking it, rendering the animal unable to eat. yes ive seen foxs run when hit with a 22.250 but the chance is greatly reduced with a 22cf i have also shot a fox at 50yrd with a hmr in the head and its ran off. the round had not expanded, the fox was licking its nuts when i took the shot, it went in through the top of its head out the roof of its mouth through the side of its bottom jaw breaking it and then out. i finished it off with a 410 to the back of the ear, if it wasnt for the

    Well she is correct on the first point,and wrong on the second,I shot a dog fox the other night and it was huge,deffo some big uns about this year thats for sure. So 240 odd fpe to the cranium isn't enough to do the job on a fox? Curious. i must admit some of the dedicated fox lads do get 223 blind but you head shoot anything with the hmr its going down I dare say you shoot a fox close enough and in the right place with an air rifle and it would go down but it's not the correct tool for the job, yes the HMR will kill foxes as will the .22 rimmy but they have a risk of wounding

    as millit says try a mikki muzzle a mate of mine had to use them on 2 pups he kept as they were play fighting at 2 am in the kennel and he lives on a posh housing estate

    its an air sea rescue launch reading what he wrote on the back of the photo it says rev williams of swanwea and rev rainsbury of clomminck,tulla more.kings county, ireland being given a tour of the harbour I posted before you put the other pictures up Paulus then i realised, he was a fine looking man your dad mate... he had his moments shall we say never did really get on that well always a hate, hate relationship but hey ho world would be boreing if everybody was the same Yes but did you get his looks mate.. no i took after my mother only joking :laugh:

    elegant i think mate not to sure she a lovely light gun for the field cant wait ta get few shots away with her........ goy out with the after work did bit of calling off the hand bagged a tidy dog fox 25 yards 6,s 32 grm well you carnt say fairer than that great start with a new gun start as you mean to go on aint that it paulus sounds about right to me the only left and right ive ever done at foxs was done with a 20 bore using express special 20 28grm 5`s that well know fox cartridge i was after phesant dropped both flat ive still got the cases in the cabinet
