  1. Could anyone give me some help and advice on where to start working terriers to fox, spent many years ferreting and the like but working dogs would be a new thing for me. If a jobs worth doing its worth doing it properly is my motto, so before I commit myself i'd like to find all the ins and outs of this past time. Any books recommended on the subject? Any advice would be most welcome, Cheers PUG.

    spar bow

Martin Jones sells a nice bow perch suitable for a spar, is what I use for mine, has detachable spikes so you can convert it from an outdoors perch into an indoor perch. Cheers, PUG
  4. I've known of two people who have contracted Weils Disease on separate occaisions, both via contact with water, whilst working on fish farms. It really hit them, they didn't get back to work for at least 6 months. The sypmtoms of Weils Disease is flu like and if untreated will lead to jaundice and then liver failure. Worth letting the doctor know that it's possible you've come into contacts with rats if feeling unwell. If in doubt ask your doctor for a blood test as it will show up whether you've come into contact with weils disease or not. All The Best, PUG
  5. Cheers Tony sounds very interesting and a lot of work involved, how is it you go about introducing the chicks back to the parents? All The Best, PUG
  6. Cracking pics as usual Tony, all the best for breeding season With natural pairs do you tend to leave the parents to bring the chicks up so there parent reared or do you prefer to hatch them yourself? Cheers, PUG

  9. By the sounds of it its not going to be long before Deben run out of spares for the MK1 finders plus there service charge has gone up. I've found a guy who should be able to service the MK1 finders, will charge £35 + P&P PM me for details PUG
  10. Think one of the reasons people are condeming them and sticking with the MK1 is because of what happend with the MK2 version. I can't comment on the MK3 as I haven't used it, but I used a MK2 and took that back and to behonest it has put me off trying the MK3. All The Best, PUG

    Breeding Gos's

Hello Mate I bred from a natural pair for a few years until I lost the female last year, I now have the same provem male with another 6 year old female, the male was brought in from Germany in the late 90's! he's wild taken as a earley brancher, because of this he was pretty steady as far as Gos's go! Creche rearing is prbably one of the ways I would go with making up pairs but having said that all the people I have known with natural pairs in the past have used P/R birds, Bob Haddon used to have green fingers as far as breeding gos's went! he would P/R a male and a Unrelated female the ma
