I had the same problem when I switched from Winchester to Eley, noticed the Eley's were clipping the Parker Hale sound mod but the Winchesters didn't. I striped it, cleaned it and realigned the baffles but still the same, so I swapped back to Winchester and all's well.

The kit is complete, the front is done by indexing the torsion bars, which can be a difficult jut, especially if they are all seized up. To be honest, anything over an inch and they handling is not great and the steering starts to feel very strange indeed.

I went for the 3.0Di engine and have to say its a good runner (touch wood) MPG is about the same as my previous 2.7, but I do a lot of towing, which is where the 3.0DI engine really makes the difference. Overall I would have to say the 2.7 is the better as you can get the engine parts from most places as its a common engine.

I have been using a Hawke Sidewinder 30 8x32x56 and I have to say for a budget priced scope it shoots fine, even on fairly high magnification, it's well built and the optics are clear for the money.

This may well start more of a debate than answer my question, but I'm looking at buying a new long range scope and have come across a few of the key players offering a the above choice. Does anyone have any experience of the FFP type and a preference for a certain make? Thanks.
