i once saw an old box type telly get chucked that far out a tap dancer it landed on an emergency doctors motor parked at the kerb lol never found out why but i take somebody never got the script they wanted lol doctor was standing lookin at his volvo way a tele stuck in a crumpled roof when ole mrs mcguire come out and asked him if he knew if the plug had a fuse in it lol lol. i miss glesga

the folk moanin aint lookin very far lol folk think cos the decide on a colliex on monday and aint seen a litter by thursday they are rare lol wasnt there actually a few proper collie based litters on here in past year, and folks struggled to home all pups???? lol they are out there, folk just want stuff handed to them on a platinum platter lol

aye jim ill lamp till its unwise not to lol im more for mutts thaan ferrets if honest, the reason ferrets here is to bolt bunnys for mutts and to get us new land lol but the dogs will always come first. im sure we can sort a night out when moons down, this young bitch needs it lol she dont like being laid up, like a wild caught tiger lol paces as soon as she feels a breeze lol sorry to hear about old dog, never a nice time but what can you do after years of graft...

both my bitches are laid up just now pal, im gutted to say least, was looking forward to end this week when moon has started dropping, but hopefully next weekend and the black week will be decent for us up here, i should have atleast 1 bitch back by then. it would be good to get a day out with you, i like watchin folks rabbiting, iv stole a few ideas off folks over the years lol

like i said one of his parents was collie, and one collie bred, but the rest is minshaw lurcher, which has got a bit of everything. maybe i read it wrong, but i took it ge wanted a genuine collie/grey. with no other breeds in its makeup... there are a few dogs on this site, but without seeing them work i wont be putting any names forward.... if iv read it wrong then i appologise

tbh with you jim, my days of pics are done, i just dont take any, and i used to post days out but it become shite whem you spent a while writing one, and got replys, yet the attention seeking members and there pointless threads get page after page of replys lol. my ferretin partner is on here as bazb, aswell as some other guys who come here ferretin an lamping. i would say i'll start just postin just for you jim lol but truth is we were only talking today about wrappin up next week for summer, if i remember i will get some pics this week and throw a few sentances in lol

i agree phil, thing with purse nets is, with a bit of thought they can be used almost evverywhere, not a chance of using long net or dog evrytime. i like the belt and braces approach if i honest, nowt as amatuerish than havin folk watchin and bunny slips net and gets away lol so i stack oddw in my favour lol nowt worse than havin to catch same bunny twice lol

just to add.... why do folk think that hole hoppers will need dug out because they have seen you.. yet think nowt of running over warrens to dispatch a bunny in a purse net, or to reset a net the ferret has moved lol do you think the noise of this makes them the bunnys stick it out with ferrets lol

wrap a long net around, then drop a few purse nets or split the warren with long net, that should stop hole hoppers. if we all done things the same way then it would be boring lol

if your just using long nets, and no purse nets, you should get less digs, as you aint tramplin over burys to deal with netted bunnys. we were out today again, couple of hours and 2 warrens done, used long nets and a few purse nets. 20 odd bunnys and not a dig. and these are actualy ferrets we dig regular

rare lol theres been more colliex litters om here in past couple years than there is sense gettin talked lol fuji's dog aint a straight coll/grey is it? i know a parent was a collie but aint they bred out of lurchers, an not greys? just by readin this thread it seems most folk jus throw names in hat, jus goin off what they have heard lol

most sets are diffrent, some we use a long net, some we use purse nets, some we use both, some we just bolt to dogs, variety is spice of life lol

that makes sense socks, i got a mate with a load of cut an aired sticks, ill get lad upto his this week and let him pick one then we will start doing some work on it
