    It's not so long ago that weight training was frowned upon as it was wrongly thought it would make a person muscle bound,most if not all,pro sports people do some form of resistance training these days to gain an advantage,using road walking,and some trotting alongside the bike benefits the running dogs in much the same way,all that twisting and turning puts a real strain on a dogs body,and a good quality layer of well toned muscle is one if not the only defence against some serious injuries,I know I would much rather put the hard work into getting a dog fit,than to wait for weeks on end for a
