  3. the one in the front is tessa - collie/whippet/greyhound - excellent dog next one is big red - deerhound/greyhound/saluki/greyhound - hell of a dog - turns on a six pence, 261/2 inches in height, loves to retrieve fox the whippet is oak bark - excellent dog who has quite a bit of agression inside him - should be retrieving fox next year
  4. got invited out with hunter1 to get rid of some rabbits on a leisure centre fields - very fast game rabbits, they tested the dogs out - heres a picture = hoping to go back there

  8. Couple of pictures of tessa, her mum was a pure whippet, dad a collie/greyhound/whippet/deerhound. She is 100% day and night on big and little eared rabbits and has great stamina - only problem is she cuts very easy. i do run her on hard ground but its the only land i've got. She stands about 21" and makes catching game look easy. I was thinking about breeding her - any thoughts on what a good cross would be? i don't want anything big, but with speed. thanks

  10. after having a couple of injuries decided to insure - with pet plan but have yet to make a claim about £7 a mth
  11. my whippet cut his stopper over 2 mths ago - its been stitched, glued and everything else that the vet could think of - it hasnt healed so the vet removed it. Has this happened to anyone before - will it effect him working?
  12. went out sat night with mate and his dog tom, had a couple of rabbits and decided to call it a night. 4.30 in the morning he rung me up to say the dog was fitting - we took him to the vets at 5.30 and the vet put him down. no idea why he was fitting but the vet recommended he was put down as he'd gone past it - mate's absolutely gutted RIP Tom
  13. out friday night with hunter1 and his dog - here's some photos of his dogs. hard under foot but we had 1/2 dozed rabbits - not a bad night in all
  14. this might sound stupid but it will give some protection ,rub loads of vaseline on before you go out .it is used on horses that keep hiting the jumps with their legs. good idea - will give it a go
  15. some pics of the damage would help i have a bitch hits hedges like theyre not there...rarely damages herself is it a reoccuring cut...get some pics up so we can give you some advice mate probbaly if its a reoccuring cut a good lay off might be on the cards???
  16. my dog keeps cutting its front leg - i know i shouldnt allow her to run into hedges etc but shes too game. could you, or has anyone ever put chaps on their front legs? or any other thoughts on how to protect them?
