What I've found usefull in the past use a warm tea bag obvs not one that you've just used to make your brew.
I suffer with bard eyes and all the shit that the docs give me nothing works better than a tea bag
I can imagine it's going to be a handfull with them being 5 weeks but just try and dab it on but if it lets you hold it on even better
Good luck mate

I know this is going to sound crazy but I suffer with really bad sticky eyes and someone once told me use a warm tea bag and it worked drew all the gunk out my ferret reacently had this problem so I used the warm tea bag twice a day and it soon cleared up give it a go mate might work might not but it done the trick for me
Atb mate
My opinion if no digging Is allowed then personally I wouldn't do it reason being if the ferret kills in you could be in for a long wait
But it's up to you mate
