  1. thanks lads. yeah human error by the sounds of it. Cheers skot, headshots only then. Lewis im from middlesbrough originally but living just outside redcar now. looking at brotton too. plenty of green fields out that way. plenty over yarm too just a bit out of my price range at the minute S.A.M - I bought them purely as the gunsmith recommended them. I didnt know the first thing, and am still pretty new. i will stick with the domed as by the sounds of it the flat heads are unpredictable. Yeah i checked my scope was on too, although getting my shots on taking my time in the light of
  2. if its not electrical, its mechanical. so if youve ruled it out being electrical with a voltmeter, it sounds like it could be the 3 port valve sticking open on heating. so youre hardly getting hot water either because its not letting it through the coil to warm it. move it manually to the hot water side on the valve (should say and that should get you hot water. but it will need changing if you cant turn it off.
  3. Ukip. Labour have destroyed us. Toffs have even been advised to bring ukip into the coalition. Vote ukip and sort England's immigration system out.
  4. Pretty much every single one has been said already, all of the classics. This is a film that I enjoyed that I was surprised hadn't already been mentioned. Probably a similar film to Iwo Jima in that, it isn't 100% war. But a little bit deeper. Its called the thin red Line. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3chv4eYU2MQ
  5. Just to ask a similar question to Craig, how old is the dog? Sounds promising if it was the first outing too. At what age did you start training him also? I've been getting tips from a lad at work who has a saluki on starting them off with a tennis ball. On a night too on the lamp get them used to running to the end of the beam throwing the ball down the beam for him. I know you can get lures etc but in your experience how did the dog start off. Cheers.
  6. I usually use bbc good food for recipes. it's a really good site for plenty of other types of food so thought I'd give a game one a try the other day when I got some pheasants in, I wasn't dissappointed. http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1869637/pheasant-braised-in-cider that's the one I used, I did it with some mash and other veggies. Went down very well with the Missis too who isn't a big lover of game. Not the most "traditional" game recipe, but very tasty nonetheless (also its easy to do, which is a bonus for a man with limited cooking skills) The only tweak I used is instead of back
  7. Thanks for the replies lads. Yeah that's pretty much what he said, but I wasn't sure if it was just his experience. Maybe ill try with another breed, whippet or greyhound x type of lurcher...until I gain "dog sense" and then possibly a saluki in the future as opposed to first lurcher. Thanks
  8. What's the saluki been like to train. I have a mate who's got one but he said it was harder to train than the grey x bearded collie he had previous. Is this a personal experience for him, or in the breed as being a stubborn dog? There's saluki/whippets locally for sale and I was looking at them, so would like to hear your experience in what he was like to train if you could mate. Thanks for any help you can give me.
  9. Hi lads, got given an old broken air rifle and got it fixed up. One trip shooting rabbits and got the bug immediately. Already looking at my shotgun cert, and hopefully an fac one in time. Just thought I'd introduce myself to a few more lads who enjoy being out on the moor freezing their nads off shooting
