I love to see the birds singing in the cages and I know that's what there for and that's what I'll do if I show them I just don't like the fact that people thinks it alright to put them in there all the time and in some cases complete darkness apart from a couple of hours a day I mean what the point in having birds if your not even gunna be able to see them

I don't mind mules cages and having birds in them but not for long periods of time I like to see them in the flight as we'll but there was people on this bird forum trying to justify keeping them in cages for long periods of time just for the sake of them singing better

hi peeps i've been on some other bird forum and people were disuccing keeping mules and goldfinches in small mules cages everyday i think it's not right to do this everyday and was just thinking about what all your views are on?

Yes please fireman and sorry I haven't been Down been quite busy so will defiantly have to catch up and yeah I was just wondering as it's getting colder and I've got quite a bit of cover in there already and was thinking about doing a panel of wood going along the back but about 15 inches away from it so the birds can go under and inside it if you know what I mean and putting perches and and stuff in side it and on hinges so I can put it up against the others side of the wall and I've got a bit of ivory Im going to put in there but can I put other living plants in there without them being sma

I have conifers and Christmas tree branches all over my aviary is there a point were you can have too much cover or is it the more the better ?

Thanks outlaw i'm not really in it to become an expert although it would be nice .I Just love to keep birds and watching them though all the year also i love listening to people who talk about birds and such and love the whole atmosphere of really.And It's just such a privilege too know fireman and all the other people who are interested in it too

Also fireman i.ll definitely have whatever it is as i only have 4 birds in my aviary and what a bit of variety and i'm extending it soon so they will have even more room

Thanks fireman i was thinking of getting some shrubbery and putting Christmas tree branches all over the top and some pot's with nettles and stuff like that in there

Thanks i'll try get some on later and the one on the branches is a red factor canary.Also i painted the seed hopper green because i'm going to put Christmas tree branches over it
