Started to ween my border pups at three weeks by given then a blended down meal once a day. All has been going well and all feeding great apart from one pup. shes not interested and just sits there either shivering while the others get stuck in or sits in the corner looking away from the pack. she is the smallest by about half size and perhaps the runt! supples mother okay but i can tell she is losing interest in feeding the pups and wants to be out hunting. Any ideas? Buck

Re the RSPCA In the North East all the ones ive had owt to do with are fine and understand our needs. i kept a kennel at a local farm and the horsy snobs kept phoning the rspca. who came and visited many times. the report was always re neglect but every visit they made they said nowt wrong- working dogs need area to walk plenty food and water along with a clean floor - which they had.

ONE OF MY TERRIERS, A BORDER HAS HAD PUPS TWO DAYS AGO. NOW SHES A CRACKING WORKING DOG WHO I COULD NOT KEEP CALM. SINCE THE PUPS SHE WILL ONLY LEAVE HER BOX TO POO, EAT AND TRY AND DIG HOLES? WHATS THE DIGGING ABOUT? EVEN TRYING TO DIG IN THE KENNEL CONCRETE FLOOR FRANTIC LIKE DIGGING. IS THIS STRESS OR A WAY OF WORKING OUT COZ SHES NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE? THANKS FOR ANY ADVICE BUCK

My border bitch is two and a half, she is having her first litter due on the 9th of this month. She is massive and started to go wider now her undercaraige has dropped a bit. Books ive read give different advice, one said they can deliver early up to a week another said 4 days either side? Is there any experienced border terrier people out there that can give me any info? I AM AFTER ADVICE DUE TO INEXPERIENCE! MY BORDER IS TWO WEEKS OFF HAVING PUPPS. SHES A KENNEL DOG AND IVE JUST SEPERATED HER FROM OTHERS AND BOARDED HER KENNEL UP ALITTLE SO ITS WARMER. IVE WIRED A LIGHT UP BUT THE HEAT LAMP IVE BEEN GIVEN HAS NO BULB. WHAT WATTAGE SHUD I GET AS YOU CAN GET 150 AND 250? HOW HIGH DO YOU SUSPEND IT OFF THE DOGS? DO YOU PUT LAMP ON ALL OF THE TIME? DO YOU PUT LAMP ON BEFORE PUPS BORN? IVE READ THAT YOU SHUD HAVE GLUCOSE AND CALCIUM TO GIVE BITCH AFTER WHEPPING - SHUD YA? ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO GET CHEEP BULBS FROM IN NORTH TYNESIDE / NORTHUMBERLAND A

its a long shot but here goes! ive got a border terrier bitch that i need covered this coming weekend. im asking because it would have to be local to the north east england (tyne and wear, northumberland etc) must have pappers and the cost would have to be pick of the litter. please pm me with any gen cheers Gaz

My mate is selling the above 22 for only £50 - shocked i was - its a synthetic stocked silver rust proof barrel etc. never seen it my self but he lives in northumberland. got one already wish i had space on my ticket! cant go wrong for £50. pm 4 more gen
