Lol it wasn't meant as attitude. Sorry if I looked ungreatful. What I was trying to say is its hard and we could all moan about no perms in our past but don't coz eventually somethings pops up. Would be an honour to be on someone else permission as a friend to shoot with. Makes all the spit n polish worth it atb

We could all get our violins out. If we wanted. I wish finding someone kind enough to take you on there permission was so easy, tried it myself a few times on here with no luck after my permission flooded and bunnies drowned. Good luck! It will happen one day (for some)

Advise On This Cheap Lamp
georgenottingham replied to chrisyboy's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
5quid for push on quick release mount and them rats should be crapping themselves! While on the the topic of mounts, anyone rate the velcro scraps for lamps? -
Hey, after watching the latest episode of fieldsports on youtube about homemade night sights it got me thinking. They couldn't do it any cheaper than around £70. I got on ebay and noticed you can get an ultrafire with ir filter for 25quid as an illuminator. Bargin right? Uh uhhh! How about 7quid for a 30mm cammera ir pass filter that will fit most compact ultrafires! All one would need is a video camera with night mode. Which most may already have in the man draw along with old keys and take away leaflets. Any thoughts on this?

decoys
georgenottingham replied to georgenottingham's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Thanks. I have noticed in the past the fly east to west, from behind the main tree line and stop in the tall trees. Some do drop in to the field about 25-35 yard from the tree so they are there. Now the trees have gone I was hope to tempt them to drop-in instead of staying in the trees. Is it usually normal practice to place around 10 in a horse shoe pattern in to the wind? Thx -
Hey guys. Been shooting for some years but normally stalked in the past. Thinking of buying some pigeon decoys and a hide as some trees have been removed from where I shoot. What is the best way to position them and how many should I use. George

Is anyone having much luck around nottingham at the moment? I think the pigeons have even migrated around here! Also a while back I remember reading some permission papers to print on here but can't seem to find them. Does anyone know where they are? Cheers

Hey mate, have u been to lookat the daystate huntsman? Very nice! Also in a handy .20cal -
Just my opinion, but i have been shooting for years and have own hw97 s410k and had to sell them when i lost my job 5 years ago, now I have some work and digging my self out of debt I decided to get a cheap riflebut didn't wanna go back to a springer. I had to think hardabout it but I got the smk qb78. The r cheap but also very simple to modify tobe powerful and accurate. When I'm able to afford something better I will still be keeping the qb! Like I said, only my opinion

Aup guys. Some advice if possible? A friend of mine has been lamping with me a few times to be my lamp man and I think. He's got the bug. He has asked me for his advice on a budget rifle. He said he wants to spend no more than £100 rifle only(not including scope and extras) I have an s410k and have had for some time. I have recommended an smk. Maybe a xs78/79 or a xs19/20 if he can stretch a little further. He looKing to stop rabbits at 50yards. Any ideas what else I could suggest? Thanks george

Hey all. Just wanted to say hi. I'm just taking up shooting again after a few years break. I used to shoot vermin such as rats pigeons maggies and rabbits for a local farmer. But at the moment I don't have any permission on land. I don't know lots but I know some. Iam willing to learn from everyone and maybe invited on a shoot lol you don't ask you don't get lol. Looking forward to joining in on chats and help where I can. Thanks George
