    Redtails

I currently fly a female red and she is an absolute cracker, she flys at 2.12oz and takes rabbits over ferrets and has had a couple of hares. They can be grumpy on kills but it all comes down to good handling on kills and not openly robbing the bird as they will not stand for it. Atb Rob
  2. veriaty of raw meats e.g. pigeons, rabbits, pheasants(in season) and corvids but not so much in the hot weather. during summer james wellbeloved ferret seems to keep them in good nick. for bedding shavings through out the floor of the hutches and shredded paper of the nesting areas. ATB rob
  3. just plenty of handling, i had two albino jills thay were like piranahs when i got them but my 5 year old niese holds them now and they are soft and anything. try cracking and egg in to a bowl and stroking them whilst they are lapping at the egg, i gets them to asociate your hands touching them with something nice and pleasurable. atb rob

  19. just wanted to ask anyone who has be to or is going to go to sparsholt college, how long after an application is made is it before they contact you? regarding interviews etc. im 24 years old and have been involved in shooting, ferreting and falconry since i was about 11 and have helped out doing temperary work on some of my permissions, im hoping to go to sparsholt on the gamekeeping course to get myself some form of recognised qualification and hoping to persue a career in game keeping. i applied roughly 2 weeks ago, have i left it a little late ? thanks in advance rob
  20. its stories like this that just adds to bad name ferrets have, you dont see the sun reporting about how intelligent, sociable and gentle creatures ferrets can be in the right hands. the "fire men" should ashamed 25 minuite's my ar'se. hope the baby is ok and hope the ferret gets found and back in its hutch/courte. rob
