    Hi Lads, We were out lamping last Friday,With the .223 . There was nothing to see but Charlie`s tail going in the oposite direction.So we decieded to Put the squeaker on and within about 5 minutes we saw a set of eyes across the field and it started to come in.As it left the hedge you could see it was smaller than a fox so we thought it must be a small cub.As it got closer you could see it was a mink.When it got to about 50 yards I clapped my hands to stop it but it kept comming . It stoped at about 10 feet away too close to see in the sights.I was suprised at how fast it moved .As

    Hi All As title says what set up to get ,As I have not shot air rifle since my early youth I am looking for some advice. I have a .22 fac air rifle on my certificate . With land to shoot which is unsuitable for .22lr etc.I was leaning towards the s410 . But not a hell of a lot of advice on here compared to the powder burners . Cheers Wam Thanks in advance.

    I have the 22 mag&17hmr , The 22mag was my first rifle it did for charles at short range . As said in earlier threads I think this round is better for fox ,but 17hmr is better at longer range rabbit crow ,etc.It shoots flatter. each round has its pluses and minuses . And to our American cousins ,unfortunatly there is no Market for Charles coat so the damage does not matter just the humane kill.

    Hi Guys , A friend of mine is going to take me on a stalk .My Tikka is running 87 gr v-max . Its shooting these well for old Charlie . But would it do too much damage to the meat ? Thanks from a newbie, Wam

    On an island in the middle of one of the ponds , We found a set of holes about 4" wide . This would be to small for an otter wouldn`t it ?

    Hi lads , As heading, on my CZ .22mag the pin does not seem to hit the rim of the catridge hard enougth . any ideas how to solve this ??? The gun is clean etc . chears wam

    No its not mixy , They are as clean as a whistle . They looked realy healthy until you opened them up .

    Caught a couple of rabbits on some permision ,and they seemed a bit fat . But on pauching them they seemed to have a lot of fluid in them and there liver was a creamy colour. So I left them for old Charles . What was wrong with them ??????

    Went back to the gunsmiths they said the Zabala and Baikel were fine to use them through ,but not the baikel .

    Thanks Mubz , Ill take them back , I just went on their advice and didn`t know about "steel shot " proof mark until I got home. Regards Wam

    I have a Greener single , Zabala and Baikel . Ive used 32g lead shells through all of them but never steel !

    Hi guys, Just came back from the gunsmiths with a couple of boxes of steel shot cartridges 32g No 5. I asked for some advice on my purchase in the shop .But noticed on the box when I got home it said make sure your gun carries proof mark "steel shot" In the shop they didn`t mention this . Is it ok to use these or is it a NO NO ??? As my gun marks don`t mention steel shot . Thanks in advance Wam

    Fish still going missing and no luck with the traps .But last night we had a big fox in the exact spot of the dead fish . I wonder ????? might go and have a look what he had for supper :sick: !!!

    To be honest I have no idea what it is as up until this happend the only thing I hunt are rabbit ,rat and charlie .
