Had a freelander 2 for the past 6 years, other than tyres and servicing its cost nothing, would buy another tomorrow if they were still getting made. I think any euro 6, dpf, adblue diesel is a potential costly pain in the arse, new cars are too complicated.
One of the reasons I'm looking at the petrol version, 90%+ of my driving is just the short commute to work work and back , probably 12-14 miles a day, not ideal for diesel, plus the petrol version is quicker 0-60 in just under 7 seconds, that's just about bearable

ain’t been around the newer land rovers much but i think the interior feels looks cheaply made
Yeah but I think on the outside they are top of the list for looks, swings and roundabouts...I like the German interior design but look chit from the outside, can't stand the look of the audi Q's, the BMW equivalents are worse lol....just weighing up my options really.

Don't do it
That bad? ...I never really know what to make of the newer land-rovers, they have such a bad reputation yet people I know say they have never had an issue with theirs

Got an oxtail soup on the go an all...bit of a faf and more expensive than I expected £11 a killo for the oxtail...a day marinating it....then 4 hours cooking it....then left overnight for it to cool and the fat settle on top...skimmed that off....now back on the hob..warming up...started it Friday...lol
Takes a bit of breaking down but it'll be worth it ...I paid 9 quid a kg from the butchers counter in waitrose, ask for a pack, not whats on show ...been getting some nice reasonably priced stuff there recently, oxtail, cheeks, and short ribs all around the 9 a kg mark .
