  1. right lads lets shoot from the hip no point beating around the bush, whats been said here, do ye think english dogs are better than the irish dogs? my dogs better than yours? im braveing than you? ect what are the points lads are trying to make but going in circles to make them just speak straight out what ye think
  2. as iv said over and over theres plenty men in to matching and theres plenty not into matching does that mean they have no balls??? i dont go to england but if jack or kc with that top bitch wants a match here in ireland next winter il gladly have a run with them i said the same last winter to kc makattack can put on big land in cork if he wants or boys in louth put it on, as for running jack or kc in england that will have to come down to the few irish lads that go to england hunting
  3. how can you say none from ire get a draw with him?? as i said already you cant put 1 dog above another ontill they are matched, i reckon theres a few dogs in ireland that would give bully a run for his money, but again some lads not into matching it dosent mean there dogs wouldnt do the job
  4. i think every man in eng and ire wants a good dog its just some ppl have diffrent views of what a good dog is, plus in fairness every man favours his own dog over any other dog thats just human nature, the only way you can say clearly that 1 dog better than the other is if they are matched against each and other than that it just boils downs to diffrent opinions
  5. what do ye lads think of RED?? i think he was owned by 1 of the lees, i taught as far as english dogs go he was the best iv seen
  6. to be fair gorger a lot of the dvds iv seen of england the hare travels a serious distance and to be honest thats not for me, but now in fairness some wer well under control i taught RED was a serious dog from what i seen he cound really tie hares in knots
  7. it was the forley cup winners we wer talking about mucky paws, and iv no dought that there has and is english dogs able to run ireland, the point was if a dog ran in england all his life and ran great but never ran in ireland would it be fair to say it was never tested because it never ran both countrys?? in my view even if it never came to ireland it would still a good dog because it done its job for the owner and i say the same about an irish dog
  8. all i hear these days is this big stamina i would prefer 3 mins of real action in front of me rather than 5 mins of a drag hunt thats just my view
  9. and reamber lads theres horses for courses 1 size does not fit all lol so any 1 out with a good irish dog but cant do it in eng dont worry pm me and il get ye good money for it, heading out for a while now lads chat ye later
  10. the original debate was that dogs in ireland that never ran in england are not fully tested, and gorger said a dog have to be able to run both countrys to be fully tested so like i said there has been heaps of good english dogs that never ran in ireland so they not fully tested in that case... i personnally dont agree with this but this is whats been saidWhat he's saying is your dog will get tested here if you are getting the runs.In england on a day out your dog get 4 good runs your not going get that here week in week out.Which is true.Seen plenty men go down and not get a run.We have plenty
  11. the original debate was that dogs in ireland that never ran in england are not fully tested, and gorger said a dog have to be able to run both countrys to be fully tested so like i said there has been heaps of good english dogs that never ran in ireland so they not fully tested in that case... i personnally dont agree with this but this is whats been said
  12. i rate owen dog ned a very good dog with a heart like a lion but he found himself in a situation where he had notting left to give plain and simple like i said before all dogs have there limit, it dosent make them bad dogs
  13. ya but thats not the debate, the q is if ireland is a worthy test of a dog or not?? and in my view its a very good test and a very diffrent test to england would you agree iceman??
  14. thats true but every dog has his limit be it 1 min or 6 mins all any dog can do is try his best, if you bring a dog to the fens and it runs out of wind after 3 mins and cant run no more and stops is that jacking?? all you can ask for and all you should expect is the dog to try his best
  15. thats a fair point, but lets say you have a dog thats fast and good stayer and can run great in england theres no guarantee that the same dog be good in ireland as i say when hes getting cuts and knocks almost everytime hes out he might soon get sick of it, plus iv seen dogs run fine in open ground but when the hare go in rushey field the dog would need glasses, so its a diffrent test to england, you yourself said last nite that you know there good if they can run both countrys
  16. im my opinion theres plenty good dogs in ireland thats well tested in big and small land where you really need heart when hes getting cuts and knocks from wire and gates almost every time hes out and still continue the chase that takes good heart so i see ireland as a good test of a dog
  17. thats like saying why test them in england all you need is good lungs?? thats the reverse of what your saying
  18. so what your saying then is dogs in ireland are not tested?? only tested on gates lol
  19. very good point whiskey how many those top english dogs wer tested in ireland??
