  5. Hi, I wanted to ask what's a good effective way to polish a beech wood stock? I've got a Pro Sport in Beech (So I believe) and I'm looking for a good polish to keep it well maintained after a shooting day. Generally I give the bluing a lightly oiled rub down and I use some standard wood polish for guitars for the stock (Thanks Brother!). But I've been reading that using the wrong polish can long-term do damage to the stock. Is this right? Could anyone recommend me a good polish for a beech stock rifle, would be highly appreciated. Thanks EDIT: I'm using this:
  6. I'm looking for a decent but cheap pair of shooting gloves for my pro sport. Just wanted to know if anyone had any that they are happy with and could recommend for me?

  9. I highly appreciate the information that you gentlemen have provided me, especially being extremely experienced in the field and your wide base of knowledge. I understand people have different techniques, some may differ in opinions than others but I will take all this with stride and try to model myself into what you gentlemen are. Si, I will be learning from your videos and begin improving my techniques, It would be a great asset to view a video which you have created on different seating positions on different surfaces. I will try to learn from all of you and what you have experienced. I
  10. Will definitely have a good read later after work. Thanks for those links and advice.
  11. Atleast they may be honest? Ha
  12. When I go out for a hunting session, I spend some time just before checking my zero, as you do, and making sure that when I sit down I get comfortable when holding the air rifle in the right position. Lately, when I go out to my permissions, when I spot the target (Generally a Rabbit) I now find it very awkward to get a comfortable seating position. I cant find the right comfortable way to sit down while holding the air rifle steady. I forgot to mention the rifle is a pro sport, so generally has quite some weight to it. How have you found your ideal seated position? (On open ground,
  13. That's a pain you never want to experience. Took it like a champ!

  15. Felt very pepped up about going shooting today. I hadn't been hunting in a while, and today was a perfect chance to go for a morning shoot (No work today ) I got to my permission at 6:30 am with my shooting partner, expecting there to be plenty of pest birds and bunnies. Turned out, after 5 hours of waiting, only got 1 wood pigeon. A poor morning start, but will be going lamping tonight to compensate for this morning! Happy shooting.
  16. Would you say the 711 is better than the Clipper?

  19. The other day I was zeroing my pro sport with a friend of mine, I hadn't been shooting for a while, so just wanted to make sure the zero was still intact. I had noticed that I had always kept my magnification on 5x, I had always thought it was good enough for a 35-40 yard target, but shooting the other day either I lost it a little, but found it a little difficult to do a good 2 pence size group at 35 yards. Getting 7/10 shots into a 2 pence size target. I'm not sure whether to increase the magnification to 6x or even more. What magnification do you use if you where to shoot a target a
  20. Yeah I had noticed. Will go again next week and see.
  21. Tonight I went out with my pal hunting. After the last two nights successful i wanted to continue. Tonight was very slow, Went out for over two and a half hours, lapping the equestrian centre where I have permission. I managed to get two clean kills tonight, one which had mixy and the other which was ready for the pot. It was a never ending night. The both rabbits where around the 45-50 yard mark. I only included the picture of the one without mixy as I left the mixy one for the foxes.
