theyr both two years old,will they swap from dog food or i expect game was fed to them before,,,to ferret buiscuit,,,i tried a few years back to swap a ferret over and it wouldnt have none of it,,thats not to say these ferrets wont eat it ,,i will defo try it,,what i used to do with my dog was wet the biscuits for a couple hours,,,ill give it to them normally first,,i will keep you up to date on how they are,,,atb,,,ft

i used to feed my last ones liver,,is that ok?i do feed them on rabbit and other game but the season is only now starting,,,thanks very much for your advice though,will use alot of it!

i have been looking at the british army boots,to wear in the fields-hunting,has anyone ever whore these?are they comfortable,+waterproof? has anyone got any views on them? atb fts

yep best to leave it on untill you get a tick remover,,,what some people do is cover it with vasiline, it suffercates it, and they have to pull themselves out to get air,iv done it in the past,,,but it is best to use a tick remover!

you can tell thats a happy fert when they bounce around like that,,,,,,,,and in answere to your questions,,,i feed them on wilalot dog food,and the odd egg york now and again,,,i get them in for half an hour twice a day,,the one is happy to just sleep,,she,s a bit wary of things,like,,if i pick her up she will stay in my hands without struggling at all,,the mad one always trying to get free of my hands,,its like shes had caffine hit,i havent had them long when i first got them they were really dirty,they went straight into the bath before anywhere else,,an they were coverd in mites,,theyr all

ITS JUST GONE HALF PAST 4,MY FERRET HAS BEEN RUNNING BACK AND FORTH FOR 6 HOURS APART FROM 45 MINS EARLIA WHICH IT SLEPT,,IV GOT HER IN TWICE TODAY,HER CAGE HAS BEEN MADE BETTER,I AM ON THE LOOK OUT FOR A BIGGER CAGE AS THIS ONE IS 4FT LONG 2.5FT HIGH,AND I WANT A BIGGER ONE FOR THEM,,,,WHATS PEOPLES OPPINIONS? ?

it will calm down in a couple/few days its either pecking order,,,or she doesnt want him in there,,but when she relises you aint takin him out she will give up and learn to get on with him,,,i know it doesnt seem like that know,,,,,thats my experience anyway,,ATB

i spent a good few hours trying to sort their cage out yesterday,iv made a full shelf half way up,and put a ladder for them to climb up ,iv put balls in there,,i put a bit of old clothes in their bedding,iv hung a little mouse up so she can play with it,i also put leaves in just for somthing different,,,but iv just seen her again running back and forth ,she reminds me of one of those bears that have been locked up for too long and gone mental,,,im looking for a bigger cage a 2 teir one so its bigger for them,,,

how do you clean them out,is the only door on the roof?i cant see any other door? abit arkward in it,

my hutch is 4 ft long and 2 and half ft high,im going to put a shelf/board about a ft and half high,because i havent made use of the space,(looking at it now)ill put a ladder taking them up to the second shelf,with a tube or somthing?havent got that far yet,i got them in for half hour earlia then fed and put them back in,,theyr sleeping now,,

thanks for feedback guys,when i had my younger ferret i used to put a ball with a bell in there for him,an he played with it for hours,i used to go to the toilet 4 in the morning and could hear him rattleing around,,i do bring them in the house eveyday,but,,tonight and tomorrow im going to sort the cage right out with all toys old clothes in with theyr hay,,a hammock,,a tube ect ect,,thanks v much for all your feed backs,,very much appriciated

iv just got home to my misses going mad at me ,,,,,,,,iv got 2 albino jill ferrets the one sleeps alot but the other one runs back and forth the cage constant for about an hour at a time mostly all day???my misses read up on ferrets and seems to think that i should put a hammok in the cage for them toys,,blanket,,as sawdust and hay are no good????and toys to play with??my 2 ferrets are working ferrets they have enough space,fed properly,handled all the time,,,,,whats peoples views???is my misses right??
