  2. i used to buy them, i had a mate that could fix and do them up for me,with payment ovcourse, even fix the collars, then sell them to make a few extra quid, they were everywhere a couple years ago, but nowa days everyone knows the price that they fetch  , but if you go on ebay, you may get one at a bargain price, atb FT

  3. Why did you wait til the start of the season? Surely it wpuld have made sense to get one in advance to get it used to you?

yes your right, but iv other things going on in my life, i was given a 6 month old hob,a couple weeks ago, but it was still too young, im just looking for an half decent worker, not someones pride n joy, just one thats not making the grade so i can try and pick it up a bit, as to say, FT

  4. Taming it might be a good little project for a ferrety type of person one of the best topics ive ever read on here was about a yank guy who tamed Mink it was a fascinating read.

i remember that, he took it hunting those rat things, great lad,.. im not sure about a wild polecat though, fcuk that !

  5. Yes it would kill.

But no I wouldn't. Some do, having had chit chat about it in the past (Cc) :) but I personally don't.

Pheasants are someone's property. They aren't free range so to speak, like rabbits, pigeons and so on. If you do have permission from the land owner, then fine. In my mind, it's a bit on an insult to a game bird to be shot with a poncy airgun. They aren't sporting in anyway to be shot any other way than on the wing. That's what there bred for.

Some my disagree, naturally, but it's not my cuppa.

With respect fox, you have nearly 2k posts... What forum have you been frequenting?

iv done mostly ferreting with terrier and nets ect, iv had the odd air rifle, and have done a bit with grey hounds and lurchers, but ferrets has been my way with purse and long nets, im now trying to get my stuff back together after some crisis, just asking a question thats all about a phesant shot, which is on private land of the land im allowed to ferret on, with no pheasant shoot for atleast 30 miles that i know of, ATB FT
