Each year we introduce many thousands of game poults into the countryside.These young birds have little self preservation in there first year.The fox has no need to hunt he can pick up his dinner anytime that he has a mind to.As we all know exess food can cause a population explosion.There is more food for predators in the countryside now than there ever has been .yet foxes have moved into the citys,The fox is very territorial,could it be that sheer numbers has forced the fox to find that humans are much less of a threat than there own kind?
