I tried the round the kneck and didn't like it that's why I opted for the wrist strap. Horses for course

I considered it round my kneck tiny but thought it would restrict movement, that's why I made a wrist strap so I can just let the lamp go but still be able to hold it up should I need to or hold it at full arms length

i dont know if anyone else has this problem but quite often i will have a gate that will require both hands or need both hands for taking the game off the dog and dispatching it or even to just put the rabbits in the game bag. this normally means putting the lamp between my legs which always feel like im going to drop it. so as the tracer and lightforce lamps have a thread in the handle i decided to solve this problem for my own personal use anyway. firstly i drilled a 2.5mm hole in the head of an [bANNED TEXT] 10mm cap head, i then put some 2.0mm steel plastic dipped lanyard which i crimp

I have the tracer 170 with a dimmer and I think I will do that tiny thanks. Think ill buy the blitz head and just take greater advantage of the dimmer.

Now I know this is almost an equipment review but I was interested in really only the opinion of the lurcher folk as I don't believe it would be so relevant to shooters. I found a place on the net that sells the refector housings for the lightforces and at what I believe to be reasonable prices so the question I have is this... Does anyone use more then one reflector? Do they change the reflector based on the land or quarry they are running? Basically the thing is the land down here varies considerably and have found that I can pretty much predict the size of fields and the game

I like the tracer mate, can't see the difference between them and the lightforce. As far as filters are concerned I don't like or use them.
