if its a patterdale you wont mate and if you have sett yor heart on one go out and get one shop around ask if both parents work

can they be trained to call it off should you think they are gonna go crashing in to something? Your probs not going to like the advice I got earlier then....Been told lurchers are to big for rabbits.. that is a load of bollax that mate i had a 29 inch lurcher and my curent one witch is 28 inch catching bunys with them for fun mate who ever told you that wonts sacking dont listen to that advice

To be honest Rocky, the pure whippets i have seen have been headstrong, independant, fairly tough to train little fuckers. Collie x maybe? been told collie x's are fast but a bit dense when it comes to coursing? found that hard to believe for a collie as I keep them myself. Whoever called a collie x dense. . . . . .well you want to stop listening to any advice they give mate. (p.s coursing is running hares and is illegal). coursing is a chase and a dog chases rabitts so i gues you could call that coursing if you like You are not wrong. But if i said, i w

dont give it too mutch because its still growing i would just take it some wher it can run around fore a couple of hours chase the od buny then 11 months round that mark get it out with you and the bike

plumers are grate working dogs some make good allrounder and so do patterdales of the right working lines

ye secand that one mate and nocking toes up and fore the dog as a first time lurcher i would go fore a bedy whippet greyhound well bred one out of good working parents that are doing the job with eas and aficantcey . and fore the permishion just fore lurcher is very hard to come by most land owners wont do it they just dont trust the dogs behavier carnt blaim them tho

just keep playing with the dog in the garden mate don shout at yore dog be very nice as sky cat said you are playing catch up so treat it like a pupy i no you wont to go out with ya dog but try not too make that bond so strong that it doesnt wont to leav you play with it every opitunity you can when you go fore your walks try and keep it on the lead let it watch the other dogs run things that will allso keen it up butt all of the above is sound advice you would be a fool if you didnt try any of it and just be paicent with the dog remember you are starting from scratch hope any of this helpps
