Hi Buddy I use the JXD318 portable media player bought from Flee Bay for around £40 including delivery. ave had this for about 5 months now and its great bit of kit. size of a small mobile phone as such and pretty slim with no weight. one connection on unit to Pulsar. You get all the gear you need, simply charge it and plug in the supplied lead and press record. I tend to leave mine running for a few hours and then edit when needed. I simply velcro mine to the top of my pulsar and have mad a cover for it too. you will need a small Sim card for the side of it to record too.

hi do you have any info on them for me, can you zoom in and out or is just a fixed lens thanks The mag is fixed at x4.5 which isnt enough for longer range rabbit shooting although for an extra £170 you can buy a Dr Bob lens doubler. My mate has an n550 mounted on his rapid and after having a go with it i did come away impressed but... It gives a great image but does sit high on your rifle. The i.r also eats batterys but the one thing that put me off buying is that its not easy to interchange between rifles. The n550 is also advertised as being able to be used in daylight to but i personal

PULSAR DIGISIGHT N550 AND N1000AP LASERJesse James replied to dogvixen01's topic in Night Vision & Thermal Yes bud I do, there are many videos on you tube too. I bought mine about 5 months ago and use mine twice three times a week. I have some footage on you tube too. I have a Sony doubler on my Pulsar and can see Rabbits, Foxes etc out to at least 300yrds using the IR on high setting. at 60 - 140 yrds I only have the I.R. set on setting 3 (Clicked three times up from bottom.) hope this makes sense. some have issues with rings, but that's a case of cleaning the lense to resolve. Its a quality bit of kit and I bought mine from here... http://www.nightvisiongear.co.uk/

What shotgun for a complete newbie?Jesse James replied to savagebulldog20's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns Think wisely to what you are going to buy and more so for what you will use it for...! Not wise to have a nice bit of wood on a shotgun that,s going to get knocked and bashed while out on permission shooting vermin...! been there done that.... Did clays for a bit then fell in love with crop protection and pest control, sold the Beretta Silver Pigeon s for a Semi auto in synthetic and had cash in my pocket too. The Berretta was getting knocked and not the sort of shotgun I want to be getting knocked and scratched while in a hide or in woods. Unless you can afford to have a two...

Yes I have one buddy who does. but he wears safety glasses, don't seem to create any issues with his shooting..... But he a tight ass, and uses his dads shotgun. as said maybe better to keep looking for L/H. lee

f a c and shotgun interviewJesse James replied to matty thud's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns Assume you got your cabinet fixed to wall to be checked too... as said, be yourself cup a tea and if you have any permission letters / sheets, any thing to back up your request for licences... or anything to show that you have been shooting like clay membership etc. it all helps. they will have a folder on you mate... as also said they will check doors, locks and if double glazed and also they of course check were you live. Dogs will be good to show you have extra protection as such so make sure he / she see's them at least. its not an interview as such just a chat, g

Spot on..... I have a Sak at £30 pounds and Swift at £60 pounds and I cant tell the difference between them ... there have been many reviews done search / check on Google on the mods. Unless you have a noise reader its hard to say and the cost difference between some of them is crazy. also depends on make of Ammo being used too. lee

There you go buddy. Do you have your own land too my friend.... this would sway people to maybe help you out or not.... swap of days out on your land and theirs, over wise it simply looks like you want a "partner to shoot on there land only" and no return. you may want to think about offering fuel cost, beer or general help around land etc... other wise your post just looks like some one wanting to get land to shoot on and a "Partner". I not knocking you mate, just friendly advice. If your ever down my neck of the woods I would be happy mate to give you a day out or two.

Hi Buddy... Ok I will probably get burnt here for what I'm about to say.... Do you have your own permission to offer.... A little information about yourself, tools of the trade and if member of any Insurance would help you mate. age , any shooting you have undertaken. also the picture you have , to me shows you to look young and its not a great picture for other members to take you serious ... its a bad picture mate in my opinion ... you sticking your tongue out. Good luck buddy on your post and search. lee

Hi Buddy... I assume you mean what's best for getting magpies to come in to you.... I have used several things, depends were you are shooting in woods or out on pasture lands or crops or farm.... I have built nests from dry grass or hay and placed a egg or two in the nest on the floor, making sure one egg is open and yellow yolk is on show... I have used dead rabbits belly open and guts out. Even some old half eaten sandwich in silver foil. But I have always placed a shot crow or decoy crow near them. even used dead shot crow, or another magpie shot from a different loc

Hi Buddy. I have tried several types from home made ones (You Tube) to - recorded distressed calls and even a baby crying recording. hey have all worked and really non are better than others as due ti time of year, type of call being used. even using the back of my hand to Squeak them in works...!!! I don't believe there is a "Best one" that works. as said depends on time of year, were you are and what the Foxes may hear that's different... Baiting an area is also a great thing to do and also to see (You tube video) when and what time they may be feeding if you do this a few

First rifle set up, thinking CZ's.Jesse James replied to reeking rabbits's topic in Reloading and Gun Maintenance I have both .22 LR CZ 452 RIFLE Silh. & .17HMR CZ 452 American both in synth. Cant beat them to be honest, and the cost of both rifles new was very good, £300 for the .22 a month ago and £345 year ago for .17HMR. as said Nikko great scope for money. I use my Pulsar N550 NV digi sight on both rifles, they both have a use on my permissions. I must admit I like the .17 HMR more, and have a condition on my license for fox only to be taken with .17HMR. Great rifles in my eyes and cheap. (Unlike the .17 HMR rounds £11.00 x 50 & £4.50 for 50 .22 rounds). Lee

Hi John. Congrats on the permission and hopefuly FAC... I'm sure more will come along shortly, but for me I started with the basic three.... .22 lr / .17HMR & .243. All bolt action rifles and not forgetting to put down Mods / silencers. Mine new cost around £300 for the CZ 452 .22 and £30 for Mod. of course you may need a scope too. CZ 452 .17HMR new was £345 both brand new, second hand around £200 with scope etc, need to look at the sales section or search mate. Has the land been already cleared and if so for what .... ? I too have a 500 acre golf course and this was c

Thank you Gents for all the Help. Yes the Browning x bolt s/s is 1 in 10. again sorry The Duncan for high jacking your thread sir.

Thank you very much Gloop for the advise and info. I have only handled the rifle at FA ANDERSON and as you say the trigger's on the Browning have been made better with a lighter pull now so in the shop it felt good for me, and the quality and stock material and fit all seems very nice, i also like as you say the fluted barrel. to be honest I think with what I just said "I think I like this one" looks like the Browning is for me. would really like to find someone local to me to have a go at one ideally, but as you say there all pretty much the same from out of the box. My only concer

No worries JJ You just want to part with the money for a new rifle once, like me. That's for sure buddy... its a fair enough price to pay, but only once as you say.. and i want it to be the right one. thanks again Sir.

Sorry to jump on your thread The Duncan. I too am on the look out for a .243 and had a good look at the Tikka but also loved the Browning X bolt s/s stalker... can i get your comments please guys... Cost new is £790.00 looks and feels great , review i have read also class it as a very good rifle... any one please.... Thank you lee

As above my rifle likes Hornady Vmax 17g red , blue or black tips. But I also found that it also likes CCI 17g Hollow points. I would if you buy a few different selections and try paper puncing to see what you and your rifle prefers and how well they group for you. I pay £12.00 for hornday and CCI are around £10.00. so a big difference in cost...

.17 hmr zeroing problem with ballistic tipsJesse James replied to dogdown's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns I have a new (4 month old) CZ 452 and had nothing but issues with Winchester rounds. CCI TNT hollow points and 20g FMJ / Hornady 17g red, blue, black tips all group lovely. The Winchester Supreme 17HMR rounds would spit all over the place...? I thought it was me and tried the following, got a mate to load my 10 shot mag with him knowing how he loaded it (noted down on paper) with a mix of CCI Hollow point , FMJ 20g , and Hornady Red, blue and black Tips and I shot at target at 100 yards not knowing what round was being shot at the time. he spotted for me and also noted the hit plac
