    On this thinking then there should be no putting down of a particular breed as even if you have a geneticly good dog from a proven breed or parentage there is obviously a lot of reliance on the dogs instinct and ability. If this is the case then unless people can point the finger at a particular dog then no breed can tared with any brush. If you are a particularly good dog person or particularly bad dog person you can at the end of the day only work with dogs that you have in front of you so the calling of either has to be made on first hand experience not on speculation.....maybe ??

    Sorry fella thougfht you meant another breed when you said something else. Ducks must have water and regularly they dont just drink it they use it to clear their nostrils to breath. Get hold of a duck egg first and try one they are not quite like a hens egg bit of an aquired taste. Partridge are an idea but you need them solidly penned in once 1 gets out its gone for good dont respond to chickchick

    Hi Will be getting a terrier pup and was looking for some advice on the best read to get me started. I want something that will take me on from a pup into working if thats possible. I see Jack Russel terrier training and entering around the place is this any good, what would you geniuses recomend ? atb

    Cream lebars Lay a blue egg, grow to a decent size and when they hatch the cocks and hens are different colour which you can use to make your money back on them, people go mad for then cos of the egg colour.

    Take it as you have 4 as a start, as they get a little older you see the scull shape change hens again is usually longer. There is no hard and fast way to sex birds unless they are sex linked at birth ( cocks & hens diff colour) or they are sexed by a speciallist. There is a way where you look at the wing feathers when they hatch but only applies to a few breeds. Marans and barred breeds cocvks have white spot on head and can be lighter in feather colour. Generally hens feather faster than cocks. A pullet is a female before it lays p to a year A hen from there on A cockerel

    thats a nice set up you have there Actic! I need to invest in a couple of drinkers a feeders in the near future Here's my youngsters now 15 days! can anyone sex them? ..... Something to do with there wing feathers isn't it.................. Females feather faster so at that age the males generally have fewer feathers on the back and look shorter in the body.......

    Doesnt really natter what sort of bulb you use as long as its giving off heat [bANNED TEXT]. Best way to judge is watch how they sit in relation to heat source if they sit away they are getting tuff so change to a lower wattage, if they are sitting under it then they need the warmth. Around a month in this weather is about right longer as it gets colder. If they are huddling in corners but not clambering over each other then they are doing ok without heat. .

    Its called Gentian Violet, get it on ebay pretty cheap from usa add some water to it. Normal purple spray is 1% you will get enough to make a bath full for about 6 quid.. We use it neat an its shit hot gear If it helps..................
