  2. Cheers mate and I can finally repay the favour when you took me out.
  3. Just like to thank all the seasoned hunters on here for recent advice and comments I have trailed through and permission slips I have pinched all of this has just secured me my first permission. It is alot easier when you are clued up and can talk the talk about laws good practice etc so cheers all I shall hopefully be sharing good stories and pics with you all soon.
  4. Those papers have just helped me secure my first permission ever big thanks matey!
  5. Cheers I have just printed them all off, printed a few copies if basc guidance documents and all my membership/ insurance documents along with permission template from here I'll go meet the guy and waft it all infront of him in a pretty folder. Wish me luck lol
  6. Scrap that last comment found it cheers
  7. Have read that previously but still confused on which one I should apply for out of the lists on the website, sorry if I have missed something and being an idiot
  8. I'm on the tip of getting a great permission ( through my mother of all people) she had talked to a guy with loads of land about me, he has said to pop down but asked if I had a vermin license I guess he is talking about a general license, he has feral pigeon rat and rabbit he wants controlling what I's the license I need how much do they cost what's involved in getting them!
  9. Cheers mate think I'll get them. And try them all on a further range and seems what happens
  10. I was given them with the gun, I didn't know if this may have been because of the previous owner thought they suited the barrell, used the cross mans on my old springer and bought the air arms on recommendation from the guy at local gun shop. I seem suprised the air arms were damaged as my tin has a layer of foam either side of them and no damage to the skirts if anything the hollow points were sticking I'n my magazine.
  11. Oh and cheers for the answers already lads, you will all want to boot me off this site by the time I have finished with my questions...... But if you don't ask you never learn!
  12. Why was you throwing the air arms away? So I would maybe notice a difference at a further distance. What's the reason behind different weights and what's grain stand for?
  13. Hi there I have been playing around with 3 different types of pellets on a inch target at about 18 meters(limited to length of my garden) my gun has a bipod and I'd like to think I'm a good shot especially at that distance. The trouble is I see no real grouping differences between any of them I'm trying out crosman ultra magnums rws super-h-point and air arms Diablo field. Using a BSA hornet. I want to know from others experience if one is better, or the fact it makes no difference means I can choose any. The crosman and rws do sound to be moving quicker than the air arms but I'd put that dow
  14. I generally sit for a good while, even when one comes in I wait for his mates to join so I can pick the cleaner shot! The trees are quite dense so can be easy for pellet to deflect! The wait is the most enjoyable bit to me! That and seeing the cross hairs steady on the cranium lol!
  15. Cheers guys, hopefully out this Sunday!
  16. Cheers everyone but my mate is now sorted, doesn't take long on here to find what you want!
  17. I'm afraid you can't the files are too big.
  18. Hi there posting for a mate looking for a BSA multi shot £300 limit but doesn't have to be with scope or bag etc
  19. Think it may have been that mate, local shop didn't have time to strip it before I wanted to take it out. So I held off as it was a slow leak and didnt want to turn down a chance of a shoot! I did buy myself a second hand pump and as advised I filled it let a bit out did this a few times and it seems to be sealed again so fingers crossed!
  20. I just bought a second hand pump for £70 and I have never used one before but I think they are so easy I don't think il ever spend all that money on a tank too much hassle getting it filled, however I'm no expert just my opinion :-)
  21. well i have just had a good few hours on a pigeon shoot at an amazing permission of a deep wooded area. There was ample of them to enjoy too! The guy was great really big on the hunting lifestyle in some ways living my dream nice little cottage with fields/wooded areas as permission on his door step. I also managed to walk away with a dozen eggs and an invite to join him when ever i want. So in short a great success he is also introducing me to someone for my own rabbiting on a few paddocks. its nice to know that there is hope for those of us newbies to get into it!
