  1. Thats it for now lads heart is not in it any more had some bad news a few days ago its stunning Mark going to let it settle for a while then wet and dry it back a little just put bee,s wax on for now she just needs a few more jobs done on her now but she is back together for now .

Thank you for your kind words Shaaark Well im getting there lads just about sorted the reaction out and its looking stunning now iv got it like glass the pics dont do it justice took the easy root for the blueing still took all the blueing off mind but i got some hamarite black smooth paint for it it gives a nice dark look to it and looks like blueing you get on a pro sport ill strip it back later and re,blue it properly . atvbjimmy

Well up at first light and pulled my shed to bits looking for the sealer and filler put it on and YES It reacted with the sealer so now iv got to wait until dry and im going to sand the hell out of it i mean if it reacts with the sealer that is supposed to stop the reaction what the hell is on it . this one has me stumped lads . May even try bc,s tip and just bee,s wax it see what that dose plus the sealer has made the stock darker but ill get there in the end if it kills me lol atvbjimmy

  6. It is mark thats the first thick coat of tung oil on it that needed to sink into the walnut stock thats why its so shiny it sinks in and acts like a bass coat

Thanks for the offer BC but i got him a vantage sf for it thanks for the offer mate but keep hold of them for some one else who may need them mind if i had not got the vantage off si i would of snapped them up there cracking scopes tried and tested .   8. Oil reacted with some thing on the stock so stripped it back again now need to remove what ever it is on the stock

Rifle ,,,yes springer ,,,no but a pcp raider single shot an old one needs full strip down ,,,,action and stock shoots ok as well but ill give it a service and new seals to stock is stunning and will look like a high class shot gun stock iv not seen one like it on a raider before and walnut to boot ,
  10. Thats for sure Dev 100 percent what the raider is going to look like but some thing reacted on the stock with the oil

BC next time you strip it back (if you do) little tip cold water in a cup then put two or three spoon fulls of coffee in and you will need an art brush see the filler that is put in at the factory apply the coffee mixture on to the filler before you oil it until you get it to the darkness you want this will make it look like a knot in the wood and hides the filler atvbjimmy
  15. It all comes down to what finish you want thats in your head AND TIME IS YOUR BEST FRIEND rush it you feck it As Vis would say SLOWLY SLOWLY CATCH THE MONKEY Both oils take hours to dry DO NOT TOUCH IT UNTIL DRY atvbjimmy
