So you run your dogs for five months of the year.... what do you do with them the other seven months ? Cheers. Hug them, take them out walking, feed them. let them sunbathe, jump in ponds, the usual. i don't kill in breeding season and won't shoot in summer. Let them have time off. snipes a collie grey, suliki grey,,, he a great ferreting dog,,he old now but still gets the odd 1 on the bolt,,,but thats not what i take him for,, his marking his perfect, more so iff there another dog there,,covers the hole and give the other dog a write dirty look,,lol

snipes a suluki, cross,, hes made a top notch ferreting dog,, not to much on bolting rabbits, will not cover the hole when the rabbits, are going to exit,, fackin the job up,,and more so carefull with nets,, marking h\as bin perfect,,all of a suden he leaves the set,, and finds more rabbits at home for you,,like has iff he knows theres no more rabbs in the set your doing,,,

me the lads add a trip south,,a good frost was not going to snipe,but cud not leave him, the way he looked at me,,snipe add a great time marking,,and getting 1or 2 phesants up,,he got 1 rabbit against the old 50 pence piece sheep fence, on a bolt,, we got 45,, which was a good day,, for were we was loads of young in them,,buts hits jan,,, what can you do,,its the main winter month,,, probley stick to the north big open hills and no cover to knock them back till end of feb,,,,

some sets G,S,, are to big,add 60 odd nets down,,at times,,so some holes are open,lac of nets,, but it dose the dogs good, it give them a run, and they can not wait to mark the next set// no hares up there whin,,never seen a deer ,but down the road a mile or 2 you will see odd roe,,,will sad when snipe can not come molly,, iff i have to carry him round he will be there,,, hes more than dog cud ever be,, a best mate , or a son comes to mind,,

what i av noticed whin the jackets look 5 time to big for the rabbit, up the north area we go,, add just under a 100 localish to me in the last week a far better rabbit meat wise jacket wise,,,they seem to be built like a athlete round here,, the butcher soon has he picks them up can tell me were they have come from,,, north or local,,
