Dayle what i suggest is bond with the pup that's a must with saluki xs is to have a good bond with it if you don't then they can be difficult I'm going to start working mine giving him his first runs at 11 maybe 12 months old ill see how he does and ill know wether or not hes ready , but i suggest you create a bond with your pup by playing a lot , make a fuss when out and about , much fun as possiable but I can't really say what needs to be done without seeing how the dog responds to you but a bond is a must in my opinion atb bud but don't give up it will come round in time just try create a

Sounds a keen wee bugger , I'd hold it back abit till its matured abit I normally start grafting my pups at 10-11 months old but its down to your preference , I love ratting with lurchers great fun especially when they are bolting allover and the lurchers spinning and bouncing around lol great fun
  11. Well I'd go saluki bull grey perfect dogs for this job IMO plenty wind for bunnys and as bird said abit of bull to fire then up for charlie and train it the best you can taking your time then take it out and put your mates dogs too shame lol Atb bud

If their dogs don't retrieve and don't return than that's down to poor training , you need to put in a lot of time training and you'll have a good dog but whatever you choose just work hard to get it trained properly , beddy x grey sounds good but not my thing but its down to what floats your boat really
