    I'm not havin a dig I just don't see it every great dog that's been bred has thrown shit out somewhere wether it's down to the owner or dog it's turned out to be crap and I'm findin it hard to believe all the pups have been all that with the words u said vertualy no input from the owner so if u put that dog in a kennel till it was 16 month and just took it for a walk it would naturally go catch and retrieve when all dog folk I know put time apon time in to get their dogs to retrieve but like u said she was particular who she sold them to an clearly she sold them to decent folk who put time in

    How is it possible to guarantee that just because they are bred off that person and lurcher to lurcher that they WILL retrieve work well be good with ferrets and biddable ? No dog is bred with that that is down to the person who put the energy and time in , one thing Iv lernt about dogs the years Iv had them is every one is different in each way just because its bred the wright way it doesn't mean it comes born with abilities it means u got a better chance of bringing the dog on the right way

    That's my exact thoughts I like a dog that you ruffly you know how it's going to throw because IMO if your buying a dog then surly you know what you want to run and it could throw the wrong way and the dog will be no good to you

    Not sayin it's good or bad thing but just woundering what u guys thought ,how many breeds in one dog is enough , personally myself I like no more than 3 crosses like eg bull whippet grey or beddy whippet grey but latly Iv been seein pups advertised deerhound x grey x bull x saluki x grey sire and dame is collie x grey x wheaton x bull x grey , I know they are caled lurchers for the mixed breeding but how do you know what it's going to throw .     Yea I understand that but my point is there are so many people Lyin about dogs ages only to sell the dog my point is how do you know unless you know when the litter was whelped That's what Iv said if ur buyin in an older dog unless u know the person well try to find out about it someone's bount to know instead of takin one persons word a lot are genuin and a lot are bull shit and the dogs Iv seen advertised Iv known personally been out with some known the lads well and also [bANNED TEXT] they bred them

    I find dogs these days are pound signs not companions it's hard to tell sometimes how old just by looking at it as like been said but that's why I think so many get away with it , If I ever bought a older dog now I wouldn't just jump strait into it I'd try find the owner befor if had one or someone that knows the dog cause at the end of the day the hunting world is a small community an a lot know a lot that can help so be carefull guys if your buyin an older dog in

    A few times recently seen dogs for sale an in pics ect and been advertised as a young dog when clearly they are not don't get me wrong some of the adds the people sellin them genuinely believe they are the age but abbiously the poeple befor them or at the time them selves are trying to sell a dog at a age of say 3 when it's 7 or 8 I don't undersant why people lie about this for it boils my blood , if the dog has been worked hard all it life which most decent workin lurcher has and then it's sold as a young dog it will end up gettin run into the ground , these dicks clearly have no respect for

    Totally disagree, makes no difference, working breeds especailly should be kenneled singley, they can be harmonious for years and something trivial will start what can often be a fatal kennel fight. Sorry i have leanrt my lesson thinking like this, one dog=one kennel............... I'm not going to dissagree with you for one reason everyone to they own if it works for u stick to it that's what I say Atb huntmad. As I should mention they are only kennelled fro 11 ish till 8 ish then they are either out with me out back or indoors i think thats the point mate, dogs stuck togeather
