Jai Ive seen hundreds of gun dogs mate been going beating since i was 6 yrs old, owned spaniels and helped out on many field trails over in shropshire, even seen mr openshaw of rytex fame compete in one and no its far from fetching a dead bird! Its all about hunting up, sitting on flush, not rushing in to retrieve etc but i have never seen a trail dog do anything a lurcher trained in that way couldnt do mate! I even know someone who used to walk the woods with a of old lurchers after the shoot had finished and pick up birds the pick ups had missed lol

right first off this is to everyone on the site and IS NOT intended to cause any friction between members of the site but i f*****g love lurchers i could not imagine life without one about me!!! they are, in my opinion, the best working dogs in the countryside and without doubt the most versatile working dogs for all round hunting anything any other breed of dog can do in the field there will be a lurcher that given the chance could do it just as good people spend silly money on fat labs (sorry L-T ) and they end up with a dog that retrieves just aswell as a lurcher will people spend sill

i have actually seen a very good bitch do this when turned in if she got on and then showed breifly at the hole she would not show again you could guarantee there was more than one when i first seen this happen i thought what most lads would think and the owner new this himself he said to me that there will be more than one broke through and he was bang right you could put this down to luck but i seen it with my own eyes many times and seeing is believing if there was just the one she would not show but more and she would come to the mouth of the hole and shoot straight back and stay its a mad

It could sink a boat aswell with the amount them saws weigh. Ive used one out of a cherry picker it wasnt much fun. heavy tools for heavy jobs chimp my mate mentioned that so you could be on to something there just ordered a 30in bar of ebay for £27 and looking about the same for a chain so if we get it all sorted we got a big, quality stihl chainsaw for £60

well between me and my mate we got it fired up and the fecker could push a boat with the power its got :icon_eek: needs a bit more servicing to get it running properly but for free i cant complain
