    Reason is simple mate,he's a puppy farmer.The man clearly has a great understanding of collie crosse's and has over the years produced some fine dogs,but his methods now leave a bad taste in my mouth.If a dog is earning its keep in whatever way,it should be well cared for and rewarded,not kept caged up as a "rent a womb".I have no problem with David Hancock earning a living from his knowledge of dogs,but i'm sure it could be done differently.As i always say,it's just my opinion and what the f*ck do i know? My old man kept bred and worked collie x greys for nearly 50 years,as far as my old man

    I wouldnt buy one at the moment mate!!!!! I'd wait they are deffinately going to come down more!!!! I've just bought my first house, I put a %10 deposit down and have spent a fair bit of money doing it up, but due to the prices dropping i'll be lucky if the house is worth what i owe!!!!! I would definately wait!!!!

    Absolutely spot on there mate,i have an old Hancocks bitch here that was a very capable dog in her day,and i have seen plenty of decent grafters come from his kennels,in fact a mate of a mate told me that the Hancocks dog he had in the early 90's was the best fox dog he ever owned.Would i buy a dog from Hancocks? absolutely not. Why wouldnt you buy a dog from Hancocks?

    I think the thinner type he makes suit the terriers better, your dog though your choice.

    I think its a known fact that if you get a pup from proven parents the chances of it making the grade are a lot greater. Personally i think there are exceptions for the above comment as its known fact that Hancocks stud dogs are rarely let out of there pens for general exercise let alone work!!! but i know of about half of dozen Hancock dogs that perform ok on everything and to date havnt seen one that does not, although i may not have seen as many as others run. They may not excel at a particular quarry like a beddy whippet on rabbits or a bull x on fox but they make excellent all r

    Not long now till the fields are cut and Autumn's here, i'm just interested how other people get ready for the season ahead? When do you start getting ready? How do you get the dogs fit? jogging behind the car, jogging alongside the push bike or just conventional road walking? How many times a week do you do this for and how long/far each period? Do you start to give them a bit more food? It will be interesting to see the different replys?
