I'm not inexperienced around dogs by any means, but this was no ordinary dog! You don't fit the criteria mate,and you're right bullx are no ordinary dog,going hunting with people with bullx is no reason to get one yeself,my daughter has been hunting with them but she's never gonna be able to work one herself,you only learn by mistakes though mate, maybe next time you will know wat to expect,some people treat them like fishing rods,stick them in the shed,get them out weekends,stick them back in the shed, you can't do this with a bullx you need to keep on top of them before they get on top o

cheers lad would like to see some of thee crosses.went out with a friend of mine this season.he had "top bull lines" or so he said.in 8 weeks his dog took close to 30 fox he said.on the firt couple of nights his dog done well taking a couple of fox.on the 5th night out that it jacked!!(it wansnt 5 nights on the trot but in a 2 week period) i cant see how a dog can keep taking punishment and keep going and going! ps surely bullx, should be doing it single handed as my rabbit dogs does them doubled up! Thats just it sam, dogs do quit/spew/jack, not all bull crosses were/are where its s

being the one that starting this thread by going by what you said 3-4 nights a week and 3 to 7 fox a night(would like to see pics) then on adverage 15-20 fox a week!! for an adverage of a 3 month season(good winter fox as you said) thats 2-300+ fox a season for a dog(as im guessing by your post your on about a single dog?) i take it they didnt get any stick from all then fox and didnt have to be rested for healing i would like to see some pics of such dogs. Shouldve just got the first pup going before you decided to get another,try taking them out separately,you have made double the work for yourself,good luck anyway mate.

I've eaten plenty stuff which I've caught,not coz I was skint, but because it tastes lovely, if I was skint I'd have no probs catching my food to survive, coz I have a lurcher haha

How many lurchers had you had before you decided on a bull x? How long had you been into hunting before you got him? Had you any experience with this x? It was probably down to you not the dog why it turned out like it did,and it was probably deffo your fault ye missus left you not the dogs haha bullx lurchers are not for the inexperienced

i agree! cant turn, no wind, cut easy, headstrong, defo not any brain, strong thats it, beddys do same job as a mix. jmo. but i never seen a good one yet. for all you that own one. a clever dog doesnt get bit back. mines 11 year old still could do what anyones one here could do, hes a sal, grey, beddy, mix. good on long ears, on the bushy tails, on the big stuff, and can fill the freezer up with rabbits. Loadsa mates went to wales buying first x bulls, off so called good lines. Theyre crap. my old dog showed em up every time, alright for one bushy, then cut to pieces getting blood all on my se

Yes Tyla,I've not seen no snotty eyed rabbits for a long time ,but the rabbits are gone,when myxy used to appear by us you would know by finding them about in fields of a day,you don't see them now.what is VHD what signs would a rabbit show.

Your right Mick I always think about that myself, there should be a cure found because it's not just us hunters suffering, the rest of the wildlife is disappearing and moving into towns looking for food, that's why so many foxes about in towns no food in the fields. I think
