  11. we spend most of our summer helping the keepers out ratting, used ferrets before, some ferrets dont like rat sets others love them, only ever had one not come back out, most the others come out with scratches etc. 9 times out of 10 the rats come off worse though, this summer weve got a dairy farm and its living with rats from top too bottom, i rate the smokers more than ferrets, especially when were working dogs but hay ho thats just me, got one this morning up me garden with the beddy whippet 1st cross b*****ds eat all me chicken food lol good luck on your new contract
  12. hi iv got 3 lurchers, one bedlington x whippet 1st cross, eats anything one collie bedlington greyhound x bedlingon greyhound only 13weeks old eats anything and one saluki/whippet/collie/greyhound x deerhound/greyhound which is only 12 weeks old but very fussy eater, iv had her on james wellbeloved tried the lamb and rice which she didnt take too so i put her on the duck and rice kibble which she is eating small amounts of, iv been down too the local butchers and had a couple of chicken fillets and gave her abit of that with her normal duck and rice kibble biscuits which she got down her st
  13. cheers all she is a cracker and treis hard aswell, very game too, been so tempted too slip her at the charlies when iv called them in she goes mad but with the ban being in place and i clearly obey the law (save them for my deerhound x)
  14. for what you want (daytime ferreting/mooching and lamping rabbits) i dont think you could get a better cross than a bedlington x whippet but thats just my oppinion if its deffanitely out of whippet/greyhound or collie/greyhound i would go for the collie/greyhound as its very clever and thrives on being given commands, but again i dont think you can beat the bedlington x whippet for your needs, also id think about a kc whippet from mike brown if i was you, iv never rated kc whippet but after seeing one of them mike brown whippets run on the lamp and in the day they certainly proved me wrong.
