  1. Am sure if merle took his dog out it wouldn't refuse to run he just chooses not to run an 99% of us agree with him. My dogs will run werever aim the lamp regardless of the conditions it's me that decides where an when but I just wouldn't risk ripped pads knocked up toes for the sake of being impatient. . All the best SHanded. .
  2. We ended up with over 100 good knows how many we didnt find. An lurcher picked two nice rabbits up considering we had less the half of the pens to go at we didnt do to bad couple more weeks an most birds will be gone an we will be gettin the big numbers we are used to. . 3. Right then lads had the phone call i pray for when the grounds they way it is, the ground i do abit on theres a section thats out of bounds most of the season due to thousands of birds beind rared. The owners rang me to let me know a few pens where clear so i could get up there with terriers an do abit of rattin. I left house at 6.45 am pick a few lads up who have the terriers as most know i keep Lurchers myself an am not one for tryin to do everythin but when Lurchers are a no-go i love a good walk with terriers. We arrived around 8ish to this great morning
  4. SH, yeah, all's well, couldn't be better in fact ! I know when to run my dogs, their injury record will probably back that up. As I said to the other guy...If you wait for the perfect nigt, you'll never run your dog ! You obviously have a problem with me over the lamping comp, but I thought that was sorted ? Never mind, there's more important things in my life ! Cheers.
  5. i bet you never go lamping then cos where ever you go and put the lamp on the rabbits are lamp shy any why
  6. Maybe! But to put on here (just get out) u might aswel go chasing rabbits on a glass filled car park. By no accounts am I tellin you when to lamp your dogs but me personally know when to leave then in the pen. You obviously don't.. All the best hope alls well...
  7. When weathers like this my dogs get early mornin walk no point in lampin you just educate the quarry even more. Especially where you are charty the game by you is more than educated an it's no surprise with this attitude... All the best..
  8. Your right what your sayin sounder no dog does catch them all. But I have a dog here Troy who has got an exceptional catch rate on Charlie normally a turn on a fox results in a kill. He was 18months old when I ran him in the lampin comp the dog has just turned 3. A couple lads in the comp witnessed this dog catch an dispatch a fox at 18monthd old an He been doin since he was 13months old. Again a few on here have seen him workin. Now he's not a half x although he has got bull blood in him it's less than a quarter but the dog also has wheaten in him. The half xs I have seen would only catch the
  9. Right is there anyone up for gettin out with there Half x Bull/Grey. Me personally have seen the ODD fox caught by a half x i have seen them catch alot more when they are doubled an the the dog with more agility has done all the work only to turn it into the half x. I am up for goin out with anyone who has a half x bull/grey an we will run Singlehanded not a competition just a night out. . All the best SHanded. .
