    hi mate I have dug with his dogs a few years back when is son started digging his boy started coming with me used a few of his dogs on hard stuff if you want dog off him get one out of a dog called mac his lines are good working lines he came from gary.     Cheers mate. When I'm judging and all dogs are of good quality etc the small details that I tend to look for are tight feet, a strong straight back, nice length of tail. I like to see pin bones covered, a nice defined muscle on back legs. It is hard when you have two dogs pretty much the same, you have to start picking at the little things, ie small faults like spread toes, short tail and not enough muscle mass. I have kept many lurchers of different breedings and the best type for muscle mass and tight feet are the collie greyhound wippet x's, although there are exceptions in every breed.

    Hi, in reply to your question, as the judge on that day I can only say that I try to be as fair as possible and there were different dogs entered into each catagory and therefore the choices on 1st, 2nd and 3rd places were entirely different, as each catagory did not contain the same dogs. There were so many deerhound x's entered that were not put in the main over 23 rough dog, plus there were bitches entered too. Hope that this makes it a little clearer and answers your question satisfactorily. Its a hard job to do, as you can never please everyone, but like I say, I always try to be as

    I enjoyed being back judging, had a really good day. Nice to see some old faces and nice to see another welsh judge Well done Earth for a well organised show, look forward to next year. The wife says she'll be photographer again next time
