the mate who i got my black dog from keeps the pedigree of his strain in his head i only know 3 gens of it, i think hes forgotton a lot of it, all i can ever get out of him is that the dogs are all old nuttal, despite my dog and his litter brothers looking more like fells hi carraghsgem. you should write down everthing to do with your dogs. matings, pups that were born, dogs bitches, who got what and where they went too. also days hunting and digginng to record how that particular dog or dogs worked on the day. its only takes a few minutes to do and last you a life time. its always

as regards to the russells they have never failed or come away or let me down as for being no world beaters i'm sure that their's plenty on here that have better dogs than i do but i'm very happy with my dogs as for the bull bitch i have researched her breeding and she comes from a long line of workers and as for selling the pups depending on what she has i will be holding two back for myself and i have good homes already lined for the rest if there's any free of charge i have kept working terriers for well over twenty year and in that time i have never bought or sold a dog any spare

who said they werent worthy of breeding off. as far as i am corcerned they are. they are great little workers. give a 100% all the time. it was just a accident. was just looking for info about the cross.j. Well if thats the case, then yes there are some handy crosses of this type, if the breeding is done right. By that I mean both parents must be of decent blood and graft to a standard. A staffy that is only used for 'bushing and ratting' will more than likely be the wrong type to use and therefor chances are you will end up with a litter of shite - like the many that have
