  1. cheers for all the replies everyone, i went to my mates last night and took some tick sachets and followed the instructions, suprisingly enough the jill has tamed down a hell of a lot within the week ive had her with a good bit of handling, anyway i applied the stuff and got a call late last night and the tick has gone, so now begins the clear up.. just want to thank Ditch Shitter for his advice and its nice to see that there are members out there with a simple yet practical solution to the problem in hand, as im the one who has to pass the info on it takes a huge weight off my mind thanks mat

My friend just acquired ,well rescued 2 hobs and a jill off of someone who was going to dump them but one of the hobs looks like it has a small white,grey looking shiney lump in its ear he rescued these on wednesday and it has apeared since then, ive tried to get a pic but to no avail anyone who can help out with what it could be would be a brilliant help

  7. hi fenn, strip the action from the stock as it maybe damp underneath and may of sweated.... ifso let the stock dry out and wipe the action dry with a cloth...then rub some good quality gun oil into the action ,this normally removes surface rust but keep an eye on it or it may get worse...hope this helps [bANNED TEXT]

Following on from my brothers thread he is kingratcatcher on here.... i baited up the other night as i have seen a couple of rat holes.... ive set a couple of snares too so lets see how they work on these rattys.....i lamped last night and see this bugger running back and forth, so i went in and grabbed the HW97K and slotted in a .177 daystate ft and at a measured 30 yard distance i slapped it home right between the eyes and down it slopped...... thought id take a little piccie for ya all was a good rush as this was the first kill of the 97k, just get alot more enjoyment of twatting them

  12. g.w has seriously helped me out alot and pointed me in the right direction with the rat snaring and providing me with a great setup to practice with...he went above and beyond duty and sent me them out and its very much appreciated to say the least...a great member and great bloke if only we had alot more like him on the forums we write on...big thumbs up mate

Ive been following the rat snaring threads and they look like they work a treat... i have a few runs that i could use them to good effect and just need to know where to get some suitable snares from if anyone can advise me on where to buy some it would be greatly appreciated and when i get the some good pics will follow
  16. a good quality pva mesh will mostly always melt...just in cold temperatures they take a bit longerrrrrr......as for the rigs...well thats down to your personal preferance, but some of the new rigs out are quality and do catch alot of carp a simple stiff rig works well....never failed me make them yourself and save a fortune :thumbs-up:

Hi mate il put a list of the following baits ive found that are worth a GOOD look at....Mainline pop-ups in pineapple,maple.....16mm Halibut pellet hair rigged with either PVA mesh or a PVA bag filled with halibut/trout pellets (if fishing a bag pour in some liquid molasses) ....Enterprise tackle pop-up boilies in differant sizes and flavourings ( these do very well in the winter months ) also pop-up corn by them the tutti fruity range is brilliant as is the crab and garlic.When mixing any ground bait use some of the cheap salmon and shrimp paste they sell in tesco/asda/sainsburys.....mix it w
